Oh My Thai, what would I do with out you. This is my favorite Thai place in town! The Pad Thai is perfect every time. The Singapore noodles are awesome too!
Best Thai In PC. When I first got the menu at My Thai, I have to admit that I was a bit dubious when I saw that you could order general tso’s chicken. After all, what ‘authentic’ thai restaurant would have THAT on the menu? However, after the food came, my doubts were blown away by the quality and the freshness of the food. Since then, I’ve eaten there or gotten takeout a number of times. Pick any curry, fried rice, or noodle dish on the menu– I’ve tried them all and they’re all good, though I still can’t speak for their general tso’s.Not only is the food consistently good, My Thai is one of the few places in PC where they will really make it SPICY if you ask.
Know How to Spice It Up. Thought I’d give this restaurant a try. Not much parking space available. Luckily I came when the beauty shop next door was closed and parked there. My Thai caters to the downtown Artsy crowd. Dress can be casual (shorts) to more formal attire and still be acceptable. I ordered the Masaman Curry with tofu and Stir fried vegetables with peanut sauce. The hostess was very helpful and said the kitchen would be able to make the stir-fry with peanut sauce…not exactly a combination on the menu. I asked for Thai hot. This is one restaurant that actually does make it spicy, mind you, it was not too hot for me but it was by far, the most spicy Thai restaurant that I have tried. What an enjoyable treat! The price is a bit more than some other Thai restaurants in town, so this might dissuade me from visiting frequently but it would be a place that I would take someone who might think they did not like Thai food. The menu includes items (such as steamed salmon) that seem a bit more upscale than some other Thai restaurants.
Lunch Buffet. We dig the lunch buffet. Easy, authentic Thai food. I have not been for dinner but hear that this is even better.
Wonderful!. We had the lunch buffet and everything we ate was wonderful. Had great service – very helpful in explaining what things were. The food is so fresh and we will definitely be back soon! We have tried several places on Tyndall Parkway and were about to give up on good Thai food – glad we tried again at My Thai!
Not My Thai…… If you like oily noodles, nondescript flavor, and surely servers then this is the place for you. I will not be going back.
Great food, good prices, less than stellar service. We frequent My Thai with some regularity, probably once a month, as I love Thai food, my husband…not so much a fan of spicy food. (We also have a 2 year old who goes out to eat with us whenever we go out.) Our tactics: we order, my husband takes our son out for a walk while we wait on the food, thus sparing our neighbors, and expending childish energy in the process…The food has been spot-on for us: the curries are amazing, the specials are great. And it is this which keeps us coming back. The service, particularly from the young, male waiter, is less than stellar, as mentioned in a previous review. A LOT of attitude, eye-rolling, and just plain lack of attentiveness. The last time we were there, about two weeks ago, we put in our drink order when we got the menus. My son was particularly rowdy, so my husband got up and took him outside for the walk, and let me know what he wanted to order. I waited at least fifteen minutes while the waiter took orders from the three tables seated after us, and wandered about, never looking in my direction to see if we were ready to order. I finally had to literally wave him down to order our dinner. Once dinner arrived, he didn’t come back to check on us, refill drinks, etc, and we had to flag (another) server to get the check. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve received such poor service from this particular server. I find myself hoping that we don’t get him when we go… which is sad really considering that the food is so good. I wonder if he’s somehow related to the owners as I cannot imagine that they would otherwise keep such a surly employee.
