Decent food but nothing special. The happy hour drink deals are pretty good. Friendly waitstaff but kind of slow. My water was empty for a lot of the meal. Overall not a terrible experience, but not worth returning.
Just left a few hours ago. It was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I have worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years. I arrived around 7:30pm (the hours on the door and online stated that they closed at 10pm). The service was poor and slow. Food was inedible over cooked and burnt. I Asked the server to fix the dish. I waited for around 15 or 20 minutes before the server told me they closed the kitchen and could not do anything about my food (8pm). So I had to leave without eating while my 3 dinner guest had food of questionable quality also. In all my time in the industry I would never let a guest go hungry or leave them with a negative experience.
We had a great experience enjoying afternoon beers and the sausage platter. The atmosphere and food reminded me of my time in Bavaria. My husband enjoyed the Dunkel and the Dunkel/Lager mix. Service was good, too, even during a slower time of the day.
TERRIBLE customer service! We were a party of 8 (2 separate checks) and even getting initial service (for our drink order) took at least 10 minutes, and the restaurant wasn’t even half full (this was midday, during the week), and there were several wait staff available. The waitress got our drink order wrong (which was OK, things happen). Then our food order (which we waited almost 30 minutes for, and people that were seated several minutes AFTER us were served before us) was completely jacked up. My husbands order was incorrect, which again, we were forgiving, but then she had totally forgotten to either submit an order for my son or the order was overlooked. We brought it to the staff’s attention immediately, that we were missing one order. Then we waited about 10 minutes more…Still no food…This entire time, our waitress was MIA, so we had to ask a different staff member for assistance. She then brought us something that was NOT our order, although we specifically told her what we were missing. 10 minutes more pass…Finally our waitress comes back and asks if we still want his order, but she was sure she could get it removed from our ticket (WTH?) and a discount on my husband’s incorrect order…We told her ‘no’, and that we would like our bill. Meanwhile, my husband takes our son to another restaurant to get something to eat, thinking we would meet up with him soon. Nope. Sat and waited for our bill ANOTHER 15 minutes. I asked for the manager, who then assured us that we would not be charged for his meal (like I expected to pay for something that we didn’t even get??), and would get a discount for the incorrect meal. OK…but we still actually need the bill. When we finally get the bill, we waited another 5-10 minutes for our receipt. The waitress NEVER CAME BACK. We had to go find her. Once I got our receipt, I noticed that we were charged for an extra beer ($7.00). I disputed it, the manager came over and issued a refund of $6.41. So, instead of being refunded the $7.00+tax, the amount was ‘adjusted’ due to the VIP ‘discount’ (which was a whole whopping $7.88). WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN MY LIFE.
It took us an hour to get one hotdog staff too busy getting drunk. When our waiter finally came he could barely talk! Really sad because we liked this place.
Well, I guess you get what they have to offer. Not really German, but if you squint your eyes real tight and drink enough of the brew, naw it’s not German even then. It’s definitely American but not terrible. Just another tourist trap. The atmosphere was timid witha polka beat in the back ground. The wait staff was friendly, the food was hot, the girls are pretty, beer was – I don’t drink beer except on occasion and this was no reason to start tonight, but my co-worker did and said it was good. The place didn’t feel clean and I don’t see anything to tip the scale to want to come again, so thanks anyway. What will tomorrow’s dinner bring? Chances are it will be more of what they have to offer, just different gimmick.
Free beer Friday caught my attention…. BUT….. The Schnitzel was to over cooked and dry to taste, very little gravy, had the Six Beer sampler, it was 15 bucks for 6 – 4 oz glasses, pretty good beer, stayed for 1 free beer, won’t return…..
