Service was awesome, but unfortunately the food was terrible. The broiled platter tasted like they put my seafood in the microwave and then dusted it with Old Bay.
Ate at Back Porch on 7/24/2016. Group of 7 adults and 4 small children. Our waitress was excellent. Very responsive and efficient. Food was not bad…not great either. Waaay overpriced!!! Not a very good kids menu.
Food was good, service was good. Took a while to get our food but the waiter was great about it and kept taking good care of us. They have beach right there to past the time while waiting. Amberjack fish is a must. Little expensive but that’s everything good in that area with everyone in for beach
This place is awful. Well let me just say that after we ate the flavorless smoked tuna dip we asked for our check. I didn’t want to pay big bucks for a main course if the rest of the food was as flavorless as the dip. They need to rename it as tuna salad as there was zero smoke taste to this. If you like tasteless food and no atmosphere this is the place for you.
We went there on the Wednesday after Labor Day for lunch. We were with another couple and we were intrigued by the happy hour menu advertised outside starting at 2p. My husband and I ordered the smoked tuna dip and I was disappointed. It did not taste very smoky. We like to garnish it with Tiger Sauce and the restaurant did not have any. I ordered the shrimp poboy and it was humongous. It was just okay. Due to happy hour my husbands Bud Light was cheaper than my sweet tea. That was nice. My friend ordered the stuffed shrimp and she rather enjoyed it. I went to the restroom and I was quite disappointed when my stall was completely out of toilet paper, water on floor, stalls were in dire need of a scrub down. In my opinion, if you are going to charge high prices on food then the restroom should at least be clean.
Take it or leave it. Definitely not going to be a MUST have for our next trip. Although I can’t say it was bad. Husband had crab stuffed mahi mahi and was not impressed. I had gumbo and didn’t like it. Daughter ordered peel and eat shrimp and it was too SPICY for any of us to eat. The waitress politely took it off our ticket without us asking though, which we were happy with. Again, can’t say it was bad, but also can’t say that it wAs great. I’d look for another place to eat if you only have a few nights in pcb.
Never again!. Put in reservation at 7:15 waited for a table for 45 minutes, we did not leave until almost 11:00. Food was fair. My daughters order was wrong but she decided to keep it because we waited so long already. My nephew (5 yrs old) fell asleep before his food came. It was a mess!!!!!!!! I would never go back.
