Good fresh food. Have been here twice in last 2 weeks. Had 2 different things and both really good and fresh. Had chicken with garlic sauce lunch special today. Comes with soup and fried rice. Huge amount of food for 5.25. Busy takeout place. Definitely would go back.
Good food. Very nice Chinese food since we have tried. Beef is tender and fried rice fresh and not greasy.People here are very nice too.

Best Chinese food in area.. I have been eating at China Gourmet for years. Not only is it convenient, but it is the best Chinese takeout spot in the area, probably in all of Tampa.I live back and forth between New York and Tampa, and I will tell you that China Gourmet can stand up against any of the best New York City Chinese takeout joints.The staff is extremely friendly, which is surprising for a takeout spot. The orders are always prepared timely and usually accurately. Only once in the many times that I’ve eaten from here has there been a mistake with my order, and the staff was very apologetic and corrected the issue promptly.As the kitchen is mostly viewable, you can see the cooks working their magic; I’ve noted their good sanitary practices and I feel comfortable with the quality of the food.All in all, I highly recommend China Gourmet for all of your Chinese takeout needs.
