Good BBQ. Not great by any means (as im born n raised in Memphis)but if you’re craving bbq and you’re in this area it hits the spot. Been here several times. My favorite, since Im now a local to the area, is to call in a family pack and pick it up at their awesome curbside parking. They come to your car, you pay and they give you a large hulking sack of delicious bbq. Pulled pork, country ribs, slaw, bbq beans, sauce and buns. Instant dinner for the whole family! You cant sub babyback ribs but you can order them ala carte, which I have done before. Im also a huge fan of their bbq chicken if you arent feeling piggy. After a long week at work, sometimes the answer on a Friday night is Hungry Harrys! (And leftovers over the weekend means everyone wins)
Best BBQ in Tampa. I never write reviews for a restaurant, however I felt this one was necessary. I am a BBQ snob. This place has some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had and is a great value for the price. Please check this place out.
Not worth it.. After having been told by a couple people and looking at the rating here, I decided to try Hungry Harry’s. I wish I hadn’t. We ordered Ribs, Chicken, and pork with green beans, mac and cheese, and collard greens. The ribs were tough, dry, and flavorless. The pork and chicken were only a little better. The green beans were about like what you expect from a can and the mac and cheese was retail cheese sauce slopped onto some elbow macaroni. The greens were virtually inedible and the bbq sauce itself was junk. The only thing even remotely decent was the cornbread muffin, and that tasted like it was made from a box. Don’t bother going for the peach cobbler, either, it’s not exactly the best out there.Even worse than it being bad is that it costs too much to find out just how bad. The portion is fairly small, and the side portions are a joke. While I didn’t finish anything, it had nothing to do with portion size. Up until I tasted it, I was unhappy with how little there was.I think it is time I take these people I know to try some quality bbq, because this isn’t even close. It’d be wasting your money to find out just how bad this place is for yourself.
Bear. Gave it a big try, bought 1/2 rack ribs, large beef brisket and large chopped pork, all had smoke flavor, but all very dry, and just not worth the money! We could do far better at home, and we’re northerners!
Great pulled pork. We had a luncheon at work today catered by Hungry Harry’s and I was really impressed. I have very high barbecue standards and it didn’t disappoint. The pork was tender, smoky, and not greasy at all. I had the hot barbecue sauce–spicy and lots of flavor. Their baked beans and cole slaw were also very good. Definitely thinking I should take my husband there. twofoodiesinlove.wordpress.com
