Too expensive for small portions. Visited for lunch, 2 persons, 2 soda, salad and lunch-portion meal. Bill was $34. Food was average but served in an a la carte style which ruins presentation, in addition to extremely small portions (meat, beans, plantains). Disappointed at best. Will not revist this cuban cafe.
Thank you for the change. With so few places in most of Pasco County to eat and even more that are odd menus or poorly run, its refreshing when someone who isnt in the business finally gives up and lets someone take over that provides some great food and a pleasant dining experience. A cuban sandwich, hot pressed with light, moist and crispy on the outside roll, filled with ham, salami, and the most perfectly seasoned and tender pulled cuban roast pork! Just a perfect sandwich. The Flan was amazing, wish it was a bit bigger, plantains!, on the money, but sad to say the coconut pasatry had little to no filling and it was dried out. My lovely wife sampled the Roast pork, black beans, and yellow rice. She loved every last little bite of her meal. If I had to add anything to this menu it would be something crunchy to go along with the sandwiches like a variety of bags of chips please. LOOK for this place cause it could be a bit of a challenge to find. This place is on the east side of a convenience store that used to be a Cumberland Farms and is just a bit East of Livingston Ave on Highway 54/56. Probably 3 miles on the left hand side, West of Highway I75. Enjoy, we did.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. My husband was the first to try Pepe’s and he came home raving about it. He brought me for lunch the following day and it was amazing. He had the pressed Cuban! The bread was light and sweet and they actually put shredded pork on it – yes folks, an authentic Cuban Sammie!! I had the shredded pork with yellow rice and black beans. OMG! Awesome food and good prices! Staff is a little slow and easily distracted but all in all I’m so happy that I don’t have to go into Tampa for good Cuban food anymore.
Too much for too little. Treated my co-workers to lunch and chose this ..portions were small for the price. the pulled pork was doussed in italian dressing . literally dousssed !!!!! in italian dressing. tasted nothing like pork.i couldnt force myself to finish it..the cuban sandwich was just ok . if you like mayo and mustard sandwichesthumbs down all around ..
Very good pork with beans and rice good portion and price will be back often
Great Little Hole In The Wall. Found it by accident and we’re so glad we did. Great potato balls and beans/rice. It’s located in the same building as Cumberland Farms, which at first glance makes you second guess the place, but what a treat! The staff is awesome and we’ll be back time and time again!
Good people, generous portions I recommend this little place
