Best in town!. If you want seafood, go to the chowder house. If you want any food in zephyrhills, go to the chowder house! My husband and I have been in zephyrhills for over a week visiting and have tried different restaurants that were all disappointing, to the point where I was scared to try another restaurant, but I wanted seafood and found the chowder house! Thankfully, it has restored my appetite. I had the broiled scallops and my husband tried the haddock and clam strips…both got creamy clam chowder…so so so good. I highly recommend this restaurant. The service was great as well! 5 stars!!

Best New England style seafood outside of New England. Today my husband and I were craving a bit of the food from our childhood. So we asked around and everyone suggested that we try the Chowder House. We have tried a couple of other restaurants in Zephyrhills and had, thus far, been disappointed. Well, that was not the case with the Chowder House. We started our dinner with an appetizer of full bellied clams and we were blown away. They were so full of flavor and brought me right back to Maine. I had the broiled, stuffed haddock and it was delicious. My husband had the lobster roll with onion rings, the New England roll was chockful of lobster meat that was blended perfectly, just the right blend of mayo and lobster meat. We finished the meal off with dessert (we never do this), we were going to share but after not being able to decide on just one, my husband chose the chocolate cream pie and I chose the raspberry pie. No exaggeration, these are the best desserts I have ever had in any restaurant, EVER! So if I were making a suggestion to you, run don’t walk to the Chowder House and have an amazing meal and wonderful service.
User reviews. The Chowder House is a nice local eatery. My husband and I found the food lacking a little luster. We both got veggies with our meal, and they tasted like they were straight out of the frozen food section. My corn was hard and tastless. Howerver, the crab cakes were delicious. We would explore other options in the area before eating here again.
