Feel ripped off. I have been to this place 2 times for lunch. The food was good but their billing practices let you feeling ripped off. First they don’t take credit cards for purchases less than $15.Second the tip is mandatory and calculated after they put the taxes so you pay a tip on the tax also.Third the purchase plus mandatory tip total ended at .72 cents and they did not bring back the change as if they were intitled to it.Both times I have been there I am the only one there and now I know why.

Expensive and not that good!. Got a $11.00 ceviche and it was the smallest portion I’ve ever seen. I thought that the hallacas where going to be better but the smell was so BAD and had MOLD I couldn’t even eat it. Never again! Sorry Compre un Ceviche de $11.00 y la porcin es la ms pequea que he visto. Pens que las hallacas estaran mejor pero olan sper MAL y tenan MOHO no las pude comer! NUNCA MAS VOLVER… Pueden ver las fotos..

BEWARE ! I just ate there and gave my credit card to the waitress, when she returned with the slips I asked her if the tip was included she said no, then I asked her if she could print the bill for me and she was acting like she forgot about it when I finally asked her about three times she brought it and guess what !! A 15% gratuity was included, its so sad how they think they can fool you like that … The waitress name is Diana by the way…

We went there about a mont ago and the food was good but most things i asked for that were in the menu, they didn’t have! We thought it was maybe buse went again today. While readi the menu online decided to read the reviews, one said that they never have almost anything that was on the menu and another one that to beware that they include 15% gratuitie in the bil and to pay attention as he tip on top of that and when noticed they wouldn’t refund him. Well we decided to give it a try again today and all of the above happen. They didn’t have almost anything we order, food overall was decent with the exception of the ceviche was they diced the fish so small that it was ridiculous as small as.chopped onions! We order food to go from the start because they take their sweet time. When the bill came they gave me 2 separate bills, I asked why? The waitress that by the way sucked! She said it was because of the tax! Make no sense so start checking the bill an realized that they really addb15% and is not disclosed. The last time we went there we left 20% tip which in reality end up been 35% as trusted and never thought they’ll do that. Well today we didn’t leave a tip out of principle of been ripped off the last time and when I got home realized also that paid for 4 bolones mixtos to go and one was missing! Amazing ripped off, never going back! There is a new Ecuadorian place in Deerfield the food is more from the sierra and we like more costa food but only have to drive 20 minutes instead of 45 to get robbed & the service is amazing and honest!

Bad experience. Beware! Barzola adds a 15% gratuity to your bill automatically. The problem is that they donot tell you. When I paid I gave a gratuity of 15% not knowing it had already been added to the check. When I figured it out and brought it to the manager’s attention he would not refund it. Lesson learned. But I will not ever eat there again or recommend Barzola to anyone.

Good food for sure! Llapingacho was delicious and so was the churrasco with rice and eggs.
