Avoid Group Parties Here! Disrespectful Terrible Service! Ruined Rehearsal Dinner!. Had my wedding rehearsal dinner here, needless to say huge mistake. The ambience is great but for a large group you are in room shared w the public and the group was ackwardly seated in a U shape so people were divided and unable to talk. I forgave this and went with it. Long story short the servers went not very friendly, and did not seem to care that this was a special occasion whatsoever. At one point one of the servers looked to roll his eye at me and show disrespect, possibly not knowing I was the groom paying the bill. Multiple people did not have silverware all of which I grabbed from an adjacent table. These people tried getting the attention of servers all of whom were to busy were the rest of the restaurant and not the table of 23. People were waiting for drinks and additional requests, which were only acknowledged after I spoke with the owner Mario. Mario acknowledged this and walked away from me as I was talking to him, causing me to raise my voice and draw attention. Mario came over and was obviously overwhelmed taking the drink orders not realizing how many people had been waiting for a drink. After showing my frustration and them acknowledging the lack of service, it took a ridic amount of time to get the check and actually get out of there. I laughed at the idea of a 20% tip on their lack of service, and informed them I did not feel they deserved it. Avoid any large group functions here and go somewhere were they actually want your rehearsal dinner to be memorable.
Supposedly Italian and nicely decorated in a European style, with French & German effects. Seems the decorating budget ran out when it came to the ceiling. It appeared I was the only Italian in the facility . Food was good, but not worth. $100 for pasta, artichokes and soda.
Had unexpected fun! The singer is ansolutely GREAT!
A Hit!. Easy review…First of all the ambience is very nice…not upscale/sophisticated nice, but comfortable like a home nice. Welcomed nicely, taken to a great table when it was not a very busy hour and the complimentary bread was delicious. The service was professional in a true sense of the word. Our waiter was an older gentleman who obviously has perfected his craft. We had a young child with us, which I was hesitant to do, but the waiter treated her as though she could be a returning customer…which she will be!It was my first time there and the first thing that caught my attention when viewing the menu was that the food was rather expensive. So, I figured, let’s not go with the fettucine alfredo or another typical plate, but let’s enjoy the best this restaurant has to offer. A friend of mine taught me long ago, that one might ask the waiter what it is they should have, and obiously take it under strong advisement. Well, that is what I did! He said the special of the day was snapper…uh-oh, I practically never order cooked seafood! I went with my instinct anyway after he explained how it was aquired, prepared and served…IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST DELICIOUS MEALS I HAVE EVER EATEN! The downside, it was $36. hardly a price to pay for such a memorable meal.As I mentioned before, the waiter was a pro. The owner sang some opera which was not anticipated, but a wonderful surprise. I believe he checked with a table nearby and they requested or accepted his offer, so I don’t think this could be some random situation of discomfort for a diner. A pianist was also playing lovely music, setting a mood and theme for the evening. This is a restaurant that you want to call your ver own and become a regular at…the prices may prevent that though. A top notch restaurant that will be revisited many times to come!Downside – the bathroom was dirty and small, which really takes away from an overall experience for me…also, it was right across from a kitchen entrance :(Overall, a gem that you might not expect to be there…well done!
Great experience. Went to Capriccio’s last weekend on the recommendation of a friend. All I can say is WOW. From the beginning to the end, I loved it. Great and attentive service, good food and LOVED the entertainment. It gave me a good all over homey feeling. Went into the bar for a dance after dinner. What a great way to spend an evening. Can’t wait to go back! BTW, they state they have the best Shrimp Scampi- well they do.
Pleasant Experience. First time going and weren’t disappointed. Staff was courteous, food was very good (try the calamari!), music volume was a bit over the top but I guess it’s the Italian way of doing things.
Yummy. Once the music quieted down a bit we felt totally relaxed in the atmosphere. I had a veal dish that was cooked just right with mushrooms and sauce. My husband had an italian fish. We had a stuffed artichoke for appetizer. The service was great. We enjoyed.
