Went for a late lunch. Long line and staff very busy, but polite. Partner had the Ox Tail entree, with plantains and beans/rice. The serving was so large he had to leave half the vegetables and a third of the rice/beans. He first said that it was good, but later said that it was above average. I had the Chicken Curry Roti. I am used to this being served rolled up similar to a burrito with a few veggies. Here it was served with a roti shell on the side and a separate bowl of curried chicken, without veggies. The bones were minimal and it appeared to be chicken breast. The curry could have been spicier; however, I understand how they must make themselves available to a broader market. We shared bread pudding which was disappointing. We purchased fountain soda, but the machine was broken. They provided us cans of soda with a refill. They offer a large selection of Jamaican style patties and other baked goods.
I agree with a Yelp review I unfortunately only checked after we got here and had such a bad experience: You might as well ask what they have instead of trying to order. They were out of everything. The chicken patties we finally did get were gross and the guava pastry was practically raw. We asked for hot sauce and werehanded a container of jerk marinade. My husband and I both feel sick now. The food is disgusting and the service was stupid bad. Save yourself a stomach ache and go to another restaurant, like Dutch Pot up on Pines
