SWEPT OFF MY FEET!!!! A MUST COME!!. I visited Giovanni’s yesterday for dinner with my husband, from the moment you walk in you feel an instant warmth! everyone greets you as if you were all family, once you are seated you are brought over bread and water from the super sweet busboy, he was so sweet and full of life and always smiling i believe his name was Andres. We orded the fish Ceviche for starters it was to say the least THE BEST ceviche i have ever had full with flavor and a great portion size for two!! we enjoyed our ceviche with Giovanni’s famous crispy TOSTONES with the yummy green cilantro sauce!! IT was delicious with every bite you could taste the explosion of flavor and freshness! For our main plate i had the Marinero Grilled Skirt steak and my husband had (his now go to item) the lamb chops! My steak was perfectly cooked to a medium done steak it was not too pink but still filled with its natural steak juices! the steak i ordered came with 3 huge shrimps on top that where cooked in a garlic sauce it was a perfect compliment to the steak leaving off a surf and turf sensation!!!! My Husband was very satisfied with his lamb chops he said they were alive!!! full of flavor and went delicious with the creamy mash potatoes he ordered! And to top off we ordered the newly introduced AROZ CON LECHE which was magical! I give Giovanni’s a 15/10 it is a definite GO TO for a magical evening with their delicious food and AMAZING service!! ill might have to stop by today for lunch to pick something up!!
LOVE THIS PLACE. This place is great! Everything from the food, to the Pisco Sour Maria makes at the bar, to the waiters, to the new owners are fantastic! The Lomo is a must try and so is the chicken parm. My family and I love coming here. ITS a MUST in pembroke pines!
Horrible service, horrible experience.. It’s hit or miss with this restaurant and that is just not acceptable. We have eaten here a few times and although some of the experiences were ok the bad ones make us never to want to come back again. If you would like to wait excessively for your food (over an hour) and have the manager tell you that the food is coming in 10 minutes only to wait 15 more minutes with still no food this is the place for you. No appetizer was offered in the meantime or anything to make us less angry. (We were not asking for anything free just food we could eat and pay for). We had to leave after 1.15 minutes and the food still was not ready to come out. What’s more the manager gave us the bill for the $20 wine we had drank while we waited for our food. To top it off we were with our 4 and 8 year old and had to leave at 8:45pm to find dinner elsewhere. We will never come back here again.
Great Food and Atmosphere!. I tried a great churrasco, it was perfectly cooked with steemed vegies. The new owners were very nice and friendly. They make you feel very welcome.
Reduce size portions, quality down. Do not go there. Ceviche is just salt and lemon. It was to be delicious, now tastes awful, They, also, reduce portions sizes.
Great atmosphere, great location, big portions, great tasting food and reasonable prices. Excellent mix of Peruvian and Italian offerings.Place has been there for sometime, and it’s unfortunate we had never been there before. Great little GEM in West Pembroke Pines!
Not impressed. Saw the mixed reviews but hubby wanted to try something new. We were greeted immediately and seated. So far so good. Wine order taken water poured. Waiter arrived and seemed indifferent. No mention of dinner specials and I had to ask about the soup. Not a big deal, but worth a mention. Bread provided. Looked like store bought dinner rolls with butter in packets that remind me of cracker barrel. (as a side note, I love cracker barrel, but butter in packets is not what I expect at an upscale restaurant). Salad arrived and yes it was iceberg lettuce. Lettuce was cut in strips, diced tomato and red onion and two garbanzo beans per salad. Dressing tasted like bottled ranch. So disappointing. I had one sample bite hubby had two. Put plates across the table. Another server picked up the plates, saw they were full and asked if we were done. No question about if we liked the salad or a visit by a manager to ask if we liked them. Not asking for free food, but a concerned front of the house manager could have made a difference in our review. Entrees arrived. I had Chicken Marsala. This is my go to dish for a new restaurant. Very happy with the amount of mushrooms. Sauce was good and the chicken was cooked well. Hubby ordered Fish Filet a la Francese. Lemon in sauce was overpowering. Sauce was over fish and pasta. Personal preference would have been to leave the sauce off the pasta. Maybe that would have reduced the overpowering flavor. Did not have dessert. Will not go back. Not bad, just not worth a return visit.
