YUCK. We ate at Gyroville in Pembroke Pines last night. We had very high hopes. The place is cute and menu seemed ok, even though it seemed like a Greek version of the Chipotle menu and concept. I ordered the mixed grill platter and my wife ordered a rice bowl with chicken and gyro meat. First off, the meat that they have on the spinning roasting spit is not the meat that you get. You get the meat from the warming tray. Second, the only spices that we could taste in the food are SALT and GARLIC. Even the French Fries, which they said were freshly cut, were doused in a layer of salt so thick that the only thing we could taste was salt. There are no authentic Mediterranean flavors in any of our dishs. The Pita bread was cold and almost stale in texture and taste. The salad that came with the Mixed Grill was extremely small, and there was not enough of it to cut the salt from my meat, which came in a very large portion. Also, we have never eaten at a Greek or Mediterranean restaurant that did not include Feta or Olives in their food; if you want them on certain dishes, you have to pay extra. We tried to like it, we were disappointed and we will not go back. If you are in the mood for a good Gyro, Greek or Mediterranean food, go somewhere else
DISGUSTING! My husband and I were completely disappointed after eating here just now that I had to write this! My fries were soaked in oil,they gyro was flavorless without the sauce and my Hera sandwich literally contained 4 chunks of chicken! I’ll never go back!
