Not sure about the poor reviews or the over the top wonderful reviews – both visits it was good, not special not poor – just plain good basic Italian. Ive had fancier and Ive had worse – so for our tastes, this hits a nice balance for s decent meal at a reasonable price and reasonable portions. We had the evoo with our bread – was it some high end import, no, but it was fine. Yes, I agree fresh grated cheese would be a lot better than the dry pre grated stuff. That would be a good improvement. But I find more Italian places not offering fresh grated cheese than those that do. I liked the red sauce, had nice flavor, my pasta was fine, my wifes lasagne was good – a few options for lasagne are s nice change. Service was good – never rushed which is nice these days. No pushing apps, drinks or desserts is also appreciated. It felt very casual and everything was a bit more homey than slick restaurant-ish. We also liked the Caesar salad. The desserts were too good looking to resist so we shared – had a Nutella chocolate pie/tote type thing that was outrageously good. Hit the spot with an espresso. Anyway, if you want slick fancy high end type food, dont come here. But for a homey type Italian meal, it suited us just fine.

Love this place. They serve a variety of lasagna’s and other pasta dishes and can occasionally be talked into making you something off the menu. The Salmon Aurora dish is wonderful with its pink sauce and spinach with spaghetti. There is a reason for all those high ratings and this is a good place to strike up conversations with strangers, something we don’t experience enough in South Florida. Try the Tiramisu or other desserts displayed there. They just opened up in Coral Springs next to Panera Bread near 441.
