The service was good. I had the shrimp risotto and tasted the grouper. The grouper dish was very well prepared. I wasn’t too impressed with the shrimp risotto. Will I go back? Not too soon. The place was overrated. I hate to admit I would’ve probably enjoyed my meal across the street at the The Cheesecake Factory.
Good atmosphere, good service, great food. The southern shrimp and grits is absolutely amazing!!!
Pretty Good. I was told to try the burger here as it was one of the best in S. Florida. Well I had the Cowboy Burger which was pretty good, the burger was cooked perfectly and the Bacon was really good. But as far as the overall taste of the burger, it was good, but not great. I much prefer LaTub or Gilberts. The appitizer platter was really good however…I would go back and maybe try the flatbread. I would reccomend Village Tavern, the price is right the food is good and the atmosphere and service was great. Happy Eats!
No wait, fair priced wine, and quiet. Sometimes when we want to go out, we just sort of end up at Pembroke Gardens because there are a handful of places to eat all in one location. Village Tavern has become our old standby. The staff is friendly and there is usually no wait (or a very short one). You can get basically any kind of burger that you want, cooked any way you want, for cheaper than other nearby places. Some of the entrees can be pricey, but everything has been good and the portions are decent. The nachos are definitely worth a try, as well as the kettle potato chips. It’s quiet, the decor is nice, and the wine list is fairly reasonable in price. Their mojitos are amazing and in quite a few flavors! They have creme brulee for dessert, or a small dessert plate sampler if you just can’t decide. Nice place to go for a night out.
Have been here couple times and the food and service has always been great. We came tonight with 12 people and everything came out fast and hot. Will recommend.
Disappointed in their actual dishes; however it’s an eye catching atmosphere. The food was okay, but not surprisingly incredible. My daughters mac and cheese was instant Kraft mac and cheese and a separate bowl of sliced raw bananas. My Tenderloin Teriyaki had only 4 decent pieces if tenderloin. My husbands filet minion didn’t look filet minion -it was poorly presented. Their Peach iced tea tasted like regular tea, no hint of peach at all and the waitress simply offered if I wanted to try something else. I asked about their lemonade and waitress said she wouldn’t recommend it. Honestly would only visit this place again if I care to sit under a nice atmosphere for a nice salad soup or happy hour.
Everything we ordered was exrtaordinary. Especially the nachos. After visiting the Village Tavern all I think about are the NACHOS! The Village Tavern is kind of pricey but well worth it.
