Great service and a different kind of atmosphere! You can sit outside or inside at the bar. We chose to sit at the bar. My boyfriend and I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and it’s delicious! I’ve been here previously and ordered the Mexican Shrimp Salad and it was alright. The shrimp were what saved it a little. The waitress/bartender we had was such a delight and very attentive.
I love this place! Service is always on point, food is yummy and creative, and the atmosphere is bright and social. Perfect place for a date… With someone special, friends, relatives, coworkers, anyone who loves great food!
Very interesting flavors!. We ate here for a lite lunch while on vacation. Pensacola is my home and I am so glad the downtown area now has so many delicious restaurants to choose from. We met 2 friends here who are not from Pensacola, but stated when they come back they will definitely visit Carmen’s. We ordered the Soda Bread – (which would be wonderful for breakfast), and the Spanish Pepper Poppers -not too spicy or hot, but just right!
Yummmmmmmmmmm. Had the delicious Vegan Moroccan Vegetable Curry! Absolutely wonderful! Delightful small restaurant…enjoy!
Every dish a delight!. Well-appointed restaurant with a welcoming ambiance. Menu is world-class and oh so tasty. Only the freshest ingredients used. Maricarmen is a culinary genius!Congratulations on winning Best of the Coast in several categories. Carmen’s is a Pensacola treasure and not to be missed.
Beautiful bowl of snot.. I had the Mexican Shrimp salad. It was very beautifully presented, but it turned out to be a bowl of poor tasting snot.I’d like to encourage more restaurants like this in the Pensacola area, but this is not the way to do it.The Mexican shrimp salad was bagged shredded cabbage, covered in a mango snot that left a bad taste in my mouth For 8 bucks, it was topped off with 4 shrimp?!? The jicama came in large chucks that didn’t fit the rest of the dish. It was like a side item. The best thing I can say it was very appealing to the eye, but a total let down otherwise.
Gluten friendly. I went for lunch on the recommendation of the Bodacious Olive next door. I have a lot of trouble as a rule finding dishes that I can eat and the many choices on this rahter small menu that were gluten free was simply amazing. I had a curried crab soup and a kale salad with almonds blue cheese apples and a lovely vinaigrette. The portions were small and I could have had a dessert or an appetiser beforehand. Ienjoyed the international variety of offerings.
