I had a take away order and chose the Uptown. I thought it was on point other than just my personal preference of having thinner (or shaved meat). The sauerkraut and dressing were great!It’s a fun experience coming to City Grocery. And from the last time I was here, I thought the servers in the back were much more pleasant – even when it took me a while to figure out what I wanted!Will certainly be back and make sure to take a look at the specials on the chalkboard. I discovered (too late) that they’ve got some great options on there!
Best Sandwiches in the Panhandle – and AWESOME VIBE!. Seriously, the BEST sandwiches I’ve ever had and WHAT A COOL VIBE! ….Great neighborhood, great wine selection, great people and to top it off GREAT MUSIC! What more can a girl ask for? O ya, FRIDAY NIGHT FREE WINE TASTINGS!!!!!!!!!!!
Really Good Sandwiches and BBQ. Everything is fresh and plentiful – any sandwich can be served hot or cold – any sandwich with pesto or spread (olive, sundried tomato) and great – The BBQ is as good as any in town and better than most – the cole slaw and beans do not live up to the meat (sorry) – Nice staff and cool vibe inside or out

This place was once great. The new owner need’s to find a place to go, instead of sitting at the table by the coffee drinking his wine all day. Have some class go drink at at bar. To bad for what this place once was.
I love this hangout! I’ve had nothing but the best experience ever there. I love every sandwich they have plus the BBQ is awesome!! There is nothing I wouldn’t buy from City Grocery. Everything they have is great & most of all, I love that every employee seems happy to be there & loves to help people out. This is a place I’d never pass by without stopping in!
Love it! Horrible service though. They have great authentic food, reminds me of central grocery in New Orleans, however, the service is crap. The owner always walks around drinking wine and seems extremely cocky. I always leave when i see that he is in there.
