I love End of the Line!! Their sriracha mac & cheese is to die for, and I prefer it over the regular kind! Their surfer burrito is amazing as well. I have never been disppointed with anything I’ve ordered. Their cooking classes are awesome, so round up your friends!
Ok, I have to admit that I have been reading about End of the Line for a long time, and have kept thinking I might go, but have always talked myself out of it (uh, vegan food). I am a food enthusiast of the nth degree and have always stayed away from Vegan establishments, thinking that I would not like what they serve. I get it that food enthusiast = food snob a lot of the time, and I admit that I was being one. I was looking at the user submitted pictures and saw the falafel pita, among other delicious looking food, and decided it might not be so bad.My wife and I had to come into town last Saturday and I finally agreed to try End of the Line and I am really glad that I did. I found the inside very inviting and enjoyed the art on the walls a lot. You have to order at the counter, and the person behind it saw very quickly that we did not know that, and helped us by showing us the menus and said we could stand and look at the menu, or grab a seat and come back to the counter to order, and I thought that was nice. We decided on a couple of things, but my wife was still going back and fourth over a couple of options and again the guy behind the counter was very helpful describing the different menu items for her to make an easy decision. We decided to split the Dolmas and Hummus appetizer, she got the Spinach and Black Bean Quesadillas, and I ordered the Falafel Pita, and all of it was pretty fantastic, way above my expectations. The hummus is better than I think I have been able to find in Pensacola and the Dolmas (dolmathes) were as good or perhaps a little better than anywhere local I have found. It was a lot of food considering our main dishes, but we ate all of the appetizer. Our main dishes were both very good as well. There was such depth to my wives quesadillas, I kept sealing bites of hers. The flavors just worked, and I am impressed! Mine was of course great. Who doesn’t like a good falafel? Our food screamed freshness and the cooks really allowed the ingredients speak for themselves. Everything was on point and delicious. I have to say that I am looking forward to going back….I can’t believe I just said that, but I have no reason to be dishonest. Anthony Bourdain, this is to you, there is good vegan food if you know where to look! I am now a believer.-B-
