Absolutely fabulous! We met with family and had an amazing Sunday Jazz Brunch with an adorable band! I enjoyed the Creole Shrimp Over Grits, my Mom had Eggs Benedict, and her man ordered the Good ‘Ole Burger. Everyone was super satisfied and full. The decor was lovely, lined with gorgeous portraits of jazz singers gone by. The bathrooms were clean and inviting. The restaurant was quite crowded, therefore you may want to come early, as this jewel is popular among locals.
We went for Sunday brunch and had the fried chicken and waffles and their special of the day, fried chicken tenders over biscuits and sausage gravy, mimosas, and the coolest Bloody Mary I’ve ever had (it came with a fried chicken wing on top). I’ve lived in the south my whole life and have never had fried chicken this good!
My husband and I ate here for lunch on a Sunday. Very friendly and attentive service. We both had a mixed drink which was perfect to the taste. Our food was phenomenal. Zero complaints and would definitely recommend to others. I’m certain we will return!We’ve been here many times since the ^above^ review and it’s still fantastic! The server/bartender named iain is THE best!
This is a trendy little restaurant that serves some delicious Southern style food. The area is a little abandoned at night except for this hopping place. I went with some coworkers and really enjoyed the food. On Mondays they have $5 meatloaf meal. While it is a little small you are only paying $5 so you can’t complain about portion sizes. It does come with two sides and rolls for the table so all in all it was probably the exact right amount. I definitely would come back here again.
When I first started eating at Five Sisters right after it opened, I would have said it was outstanding. Now, though, it has fallen in my ratings. Mediocre service, inconsistent quality of the food. Seems like after it was purchased by a local company it has lost what made it special. You can still hit them on a very good day, but the only thing consistently good is the music.
Best meal my wife and I have eaten in a long time. Amazing food and dope atmosphere. Really cool building. We really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. I ordered chicken and waffles and the fried chicken was possibly the best I’ve ever had. Wife got red beans and rice and it was wonderful too. Service was on point too. We were too early for the live music but they were getting setup and that would have only increased an already perfect experience. Don’t make it over to Pensacola that much but it will be a recommendation from me to everyone heading that way that likes soul food, and even those that don’t.
I have been eating here for the last 6 years. The food is consistently delicious. The atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights is always a great time with the live bands and upbeat staff. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Pensacola. I can’t wait for the next visit, I can taste that fried chicken already!
