One of the only reasons that Im sad about moving from Pensacola is that I wont get to have Five Sisters fried chicken and waffles and Bloody Marys for brunch anymore! Im devastated. This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time!
Came in after the lunch rush, staff was very friendly, service was prompt. Had the oyster Po Boy with collards & black-eyed peas. Collards were best Ive ever eaten (please dont tell my mother-in-law I said that!). Po Boy was outstanding with plenty of plump oysters fried to perfection, topped by the best tomato Ive had this season and a delish remoulade.Definitely coming back for more!
We went on a Monday in January, a quiet cold night. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. It smells so good when you walk in! My wife had smoked turkey & tomato soup, that could have been a meal! The sides of green beans and pineapple Cole slaw were perfect. I had shrimp, fish and grits. The fish was excellent, light & moist. However the grits, cheese of course were the best part. I also had pineapple cole slaw with corn bread dressing. Overall an excellent meal.
