Expensive, about everything is alacart. Waitress could have been more attentive. Love the prime rib though. But for the price everything should have been top notch.
We had a fabulous dining experience here. Went on prime rib Tuesday and were very happy with our meal. Ordered one rare and one medium rare and that’s how they were served. The baked potatoes were so good I want to recognize them here. We passed on an appetizer and soup/salad as a 16 oz prime rib seemed like more than enough! I had 2 pumpkin spiced margaritas as they were the best cocktails I’ve ever had. So tasty. My companion inhaled his pecan cake dessert. The service is top notch, the ambience warm and welcoming. Very popular spot so make reservations. Ask for Kevin, a very attentive and unintrusive professional waiter. I did note that the woman seated next to me ordered a medium rare prime rib and was served one that was medium well. I would have sent that back. And to the reviewer that compared Jackson’s to the Waffle House, I say you pay for ambience and quality food and service. It’s the difference between high grade butter and margarine.
There was nothing spectacular nor exceptional about my dining experience here. My steak arrived overly charred. The service does not equate with the price this establishment charges. For the cost, Waffle House offers a better price to pleasure ratio than here. Yes, that was as painful for me to write as it was for you to read the previous sentence.
Wonderful, first rate experience! Food was delicious, and service was professional. My wife and I will definitely be back again. We loved it.
Waaaaay overpriced. Save your money and get as good or better food and service at any number of other restaurants nearby.
Oustanding evening at Jacksons!!. It’s been 14 years since we last went to Jackson’s. Then we had a VERY expensive evening (Over $500 for 4 people.) Celebrating my daughter’s engagement…and the celebrating got away from us????On Friday evening August 8th, we had reservations for 4 at 6:30. Our table was ready and we were seated immediately. Restaurant looked beautiful as I had remembered it. We made our selections off the special menu. The food was superb….the server was very professional and friendly….The evening was outstanding. We plan to go again in the near future. No doubt, Pensacola’s finest restaurant. Many thanks to the staff at Jackson’s. WELL DONE.
Jackson’s, Oh! Jackson’s. One of Pensacola’s finest eateries, or so they say. Dined here last weekend, first time back in many years, and found Jackson’s to be on par with some on NOLA’s better establishments (K-Pauls, Delmonico’s, etc.). Service was somewhat suspect, though waiter was friendly if not a bit distant. App’s were fantastic, fried lobster and oyster plate, highly recommended. Go for the steak, seafood entrees are average and overpriced. Go catch your own and sear on the backyard bbq, better value and a lot more fun! Barkeep was right on time with great recommendations and strong hi- balls. Don’t hesitate to enjoy this place. Great atmosphere, people watching, and better than most (in Pensacola).
