1st visit. We visited on sunday afternoon and was surprised to find Jasons deli packed as well as a long line at the drive thru. Once inside we chose our food items, paid and found a seat. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. My girlfriend had a salmon sandwich and I had a special of the day. Both were quite good. I liked the idea of quick pay for salad bar only, without having to wait in line. Free Ice Cream was also a good idea. Salad bar seemed to have a good variety, but some items ran out. And as others mentioned, this area can get a bit untidy and needs more constant attention by the staff. A dirty dinning area can be off putting. Staff was very friendly, prices and menu were very good. All in All we enjoyed our visit and will return.07 Sep, 2014Really Great. If people just write reviews to complain about the long line, maybe they should write reviews about standing in line. Not eateries. There is a REASON for the line ! Jasons deli is great, healthy, fresh and delish. I have eaten here twice and will eat here often. it was full at 12:00 on a Sunday, three cashiers working to take orders quickly. I like the fact they bring your food to your table. My date had the Salmon Sandwich, she devoured it…I had the Managers Special Veracruz…both were great. I like the instant pay at the automated terminal and go directly to the salad bar option, if your in a hurry, like for lunch, its most helpful. We need MORE Jasons Deli, and less Mcdonalds !
Hangry. I just gave Jason’s a mixed review. Now I feel bad. I was hangry. It did take 15 min to get thru the drive thru, but it was worth the wait. Hopefully they will get a clue and realize they need more employees for lunch.
Great salad bar, gumbo!. Salad bar is loaded with great fixings (love the Greek olives). Impressed with the seafood gumbo. Better than some of the Gumbo’s I tried at the Seville gumbo cook-off recently. Sandwiches are huge. Prices very reasonable and you save on not having to tip. Friendly staff. Love this place.
1st visit. Disappointed, corned beef and pastrami were the pressed variety and fine print on soup offer (on the back of the coupon) only applied to dine in. Otherwise, the broccoli cheese soup was great. If you are going to offer a coupon it would be nice to make it easy to read and use.
Great Meal. Thoroughly enjoyed the Harvest Sweet Potato and Pork Soup and Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich. My husband had a Reuben Sandwich and Spicy Jambalaya. We look forward to returning and trying something else…I may stick with that Harvest Stew while it’s still available. We arrived abt 1PM, no lines. Busy time and staff was efficiently assembling sandwiches, in view, and sending them down the line. I liked that there was a separate section with tables for two. Absolutely no complaints.If I has wanted salad and there was no lettuce on the bar I would have said something to the staff. I would not have waited just to complain about how long it took them to put some out.
Horrible service. First time in today. As soon as I walked in was confused on exactly where to go to order, so I stood there waiting to see if anyone would welcome me or say do you need help…NOTHING! I waited for about 3-4 minutes..all while the staff is talking among themselves. Horrible first and last impression! Walked back out the door..and will not return.
Not like I remember. I have been excited about Jason’s Deli opening in Pensacola for a long time, and after several aborted attempts that failed due to the line being out the door, I finally made it in the door and ordered. I used to eat at a Jason’s in Little Rock some 20 years ago and loved it. I have to think that my tastes have changed (and I do not think so), or they have changed…..maybe less quality for lower cost sandwiches so to compete with Subway and the growing list of sub shops and delis, but the quality and care that used to be placed in their product seems to be lacking. It is too bad really, they used to be better than everyone else, now they are just middle of the pack. I had a reuben sandwich and it was just ok. I got the concept that they were trying to be like Cat’s Deli in NYC and pile on the meat, but it never reached to that height of greatness. My wife ordered the seafood gumbo and it was pretty good. Service was spotty, it started off good but by the time I realized I needed something, no one was to be found. I think Deli Case and The New Yorker are both above and beyond better.
