Great little brunch spot downtown! The food is good and the selection is pretty good. They have a nice coffee bar with many options as well.
Very good omelettes and their mocha is not the oversweetened mess you get from other places. The corn beef hash was also very good. Fantastic atmosphere and service!
The Toad in the Hole is the way to go! It was cooked perfectly and the whole plate was delicious to the last bite. Unfortunately, they were out of chicken at noon on a Sunday (for their signature Chicken and Waffles). Also, service was sub par as the other people at my table received the wrong orders and eggs were overcooked. The worst part was nothing was done about anything. No manager ever came to the table even after the issues were brought up to the server.
I intended to just get a cappuccino to go, but decided to stay and try the Toad in the Hole. Add the portobello–it was great. A light, casual atmosphere. Probably one of the best cappuccinos I ever had.
Delightful Breakfast!. The toad in the hole, and the omelet were very flavorful, and the espresso drinks are good. The decor was very clean and relaxing. What a terrific place to enjoy a breakfast.
Disappointed. I ordered a coffee shake and the chicken and dumpling lunch special. I spent what time I should have been using to enjoy a creamy coffee shake spitting out huge chunks of espresso beans that were too hard and bitter to chew. The chicken and dumplings was way overpriced for the portions received – not sure if it was because I was being punished for ordering to-go or if they just charge too much. Was not impressed. I will say, even though there were hardly any, the green beans were very tasty.
Very good food and service. Eggs benadict was on the mark. Stuffed French toast was excellent. No complaints. I’ll be back.
