My wife and I ate here last Saturday and found it to be a disappointment. Nothing really was bad, but nothing was great either. We found the salsa and the warm bean dip to be bland, and added salt to both and then Cholula to the beans. The cheese dip was the right consistency, but again bland. My meal was the Tacos Cazumel and they were pretty good. I liked the char on the fish, but there was nothing but the fish in the taco, and too much of it for the size of the tortilla. I just stuffed mine with what came on the plate, and they turned out fair. With the food quality being the way it is, and how sloooowww the service was, I will be going elsewhere to get my Mex fix.

Did not enjoy lunch here today. Weird smell when you walk through the door that I later found out from my husband is the air freshener for the bathrooms. Had queso & camarones a la diabla. Although the texture of the queso was right, the flavor was lacking. I thought the salsa & bean dip both needed salt, too. The spice on the shrimp was good, & they were close to cooking them correctly, but the lettuce & tomato served with the shrimp were tasteless. Probably won’t return here.

No. I’d honestly rather eat Taco Bell. The staff is really sweet – But the food is just bland and blah and uggh. Nothing special or fancy. Their margaritas are premixed and overpriced. The cheese dip lacks flavor and thickness. But, like I said, the staff is warm and welcoming.

Sooo excited there is one on this side of town now. Great Mexican food. Good Rita’s. They give a salsa and bean dip with their chips.

No longer Monterrey’s! Has switched over to Rio Bravo’s menu and prices have gone up and favorites are gone. It’s not bad, it’s just our favorite Mexican place has changed over. Hope it’s not all the locations!

Okay tasting…. After shopping in the mall, we decided to try some Mexican cuisine. This place was somewhat okay tasting. Service was SLLLLOOOWWW and awful. Most of our food was simply over inundated with lettuce, tomato or DRIED out!! Our server finally started helping and understanding… Still suspect!! 😉 Pics included.
