Love this place. I eat here a couple times a month for lunch. Great rolls, perfect miso. Everything is really fresh, I typically get something with salmon and it’s great. The staff is really friendly every time. Best kept secret in downtown Pensacola!!
Very Disappointing – Bland and Expensive. I hate to leave a bad review, but I was very disappointed by the consistency, flavor, and price of the 3 rolls I purchased. The fish was very squishy and room temperature, the rice was loose/rolls falling apart, and the rolls lacks any exciting and/or fresh flavor. Sadly, I will not eat here again.
Very very good.. Several visits and the food has always been great. The Volcano Roll, Dynamite Roll, Spicy Tuna and Florida Roll all fresh and delish. The Shrimp Tempura and Teriaki Chicken apps both excellant and enough for a meal. The family who works and owns there have always been great. Looking forward to another visit soon. I have eaten local sushi in several other eateries, so far this one is the best.
Best Sushi I’ve Ever Had. My dad introduced me to this place a number of years ago, and I go there religiously anytime i want sushi. Fresh ingredients, cooked to order, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is calming, and they played an assortment of chill music. The server kept filling my glass when it was half empty, and that’s what I really enjoyed; very attentive. The volcano shrimp was beautiful, and all their sushi is delicious. If your looking for sushi, definitely go to Sumo.
This place was amazing. It was the best sushi I have ever had. If you love sushi and ever get the chance to go I highly suggest you go to Sumo Sushi!
I’m not impressed. The Goyza was under cooked, the miso soup had far to much seaweed in it and it had a weird texture, plus the Carlton Palm roll was bland. I’ll stick with teriyaki cafe on Davis highway; it is cheaper and the food is far better.
