We found out The Magnolia’s hours, and we took a chance and stopped by. In a word: Outstanding! The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. The beer is icy cold. The food? Fantastic! The Magnolia is one of the rare places in town where the food is tasty and done right. I had Bill’s pulled pork with blue cheese cole slaw. I loved it. My husband had a turkey sandwich with tangy coleslaw, and he loved it. We topped it off with an interesting cheesecake blended dessert–creamy and a good combination of flavors. All in all, The Magnolia made it on our list of repeat visits. Yes. It’s that good, and we will return.21 Jul, 2013Odd hours. Never open when we swung by. Three strikes yer out! Won’t be going here.
Loved it!. Went here on the recommendation of our neighbor. Small but comfortable place that makes you feel at home as you step inside. Food was fantastic! Okay, they do serve their sandwiches with potato chip bags, but the sandwiches were awesome! I’m still craving their rosemary chicken salad sandwich. The portions might be on the smaller side, but it was just right for me. The prices are inexpensive. Just wish this was closer.

Hard to find but worth it. On cervantes by bayou texar, this hard-to-find place is worth the trek. salads, appetizers, soups, and wine, it’s a little gem in SE pcola. small little place makes for a bit of noise, drink selection is impressive and the food is 5-star. we got the med hummus, beet salad, artichoke soup, hawaiian sliders, and a bottle of sparkling red. i really want to go back, but it’s not really a full meal type of place. small portions make for a eat and finish elsewhere type of idea. would be great with dolce! for dessert! oh, parking lot is gravel BEHIND this place…
Very impressed! The bartender is helpful & attentive. We ordered the Pinot noir and the pulled pork pita, delicious! The atmosphere is like drinking at a friend’s house, so enjoyable
This place is fantastic! I’m a regular and try to go at least once a wk. The food is fresh and innovative. She takes classics and gives them a unique twist to liven up your taste buds! The beer Mac n cheese is awesome! Her desserts are very good as well. My fave is the pistachio pudding with brownie. Menu is always changing and consistently dlish!! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Great beer selection too, for beer lovers. You won’t find your normal choice of domestics here. They carry good beer!! Great atmosphere and fun place! For the foodie and beer lovers for sure!
Food With Taste!. We finally tried the Magnolia, and we were impressed. We liked the warm and friendly greeting, we loved the variety of carefully selected beers and wines, and the Portobello Soup blew us away with its earthy full taste – Delish! The hummingbird sandwich was really good, and the rosemary chicken salad served with Ritz crackers was awesome. We appreciate the smaller portion sizes – we would rather have tasty food anyday that the super portions of assembled foods which pass in the chains these days. The Magnolia is like sailing into a safe harbor, small, cozy, personal and TASTY.
