I came in a group and ordered the Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna. They asked how I liked it to be done. That’s an odd question… I said rare. The setting is very nice and it also has outside seating as well. The dish came as I ordered. However, I just noticed that it didn’t come with the ponzu sauce as stated on the menu. The fish was fresh and tasty. It came with two sides and I chose broccoli and asparagus. I give it a 3 stars because the vegs actually were seasoned well. Usually side vegs don’t come seasoned. This level of attention is needed. Our group had about 16 people and the waitress with her trainee took out orders in an orderly fashion. However, they were clueless whom to deliver the foods as well as not sure who has which bill. Moreover, when I ordered, I specifically said that my friend and I would be on the same check. Nope. The checks came separated.
Overall a good experience. The service was fast and friendly, but I wasn’t particularly drawn in by any of their menu items, and the cajun pasta that I settled for ended up being pretty standard. I love their outdoor seating options, and they often have live music and movie nights! Definitely a good place to go for a long meal with friends.
This place is the ideal spot for a delicious meal at a reasonable price. We had a delightful server who skilfully guided us through the menu. The decor is tranquil and uncluttered. They have a very impressive wine list as well. The appetizers we shared were amazing. The flavorful prosciutto-wrapped dates were bursting with smoky goodness. I think I’m hooked on these; it will be hard not to order them each time I return. The hummus plate was incredibly generous, and it was obviously freshly made. The menu is very diverse, so there is ample reason to return to work my way through it. The Sunday brunch menu had us both drooling, even though we were there on a Wednesday. There is a lot of pride in this place. The owner even stopped by our table to check on us and make sure we were satisfied with everything.
The new owners have invested a lot into this restaurant to make it more upscale than what the former Yard used to be. It has everything going for it, including a great menu, outside patio seating, and live music. However, the new owners have failed to train and invest in their staff. I asked my waiter about 3 different items on the menu and he told me he had no idea because he was new and it was a new restaurant. That is poor management to put someone in the floor like that. We waited an hour before we got our food and I was disappointed, foolishly thinking a higher price would mean a higher quality meal.
We were very hopeful about this place, especially since we love the outdoor seating. The service was poor and slow (including a broken wine glass, and being served the incorrect food THREE TIMES). Menu descriptions were not accurate for the food served (including meat served on an item to a vegetarian). Drinks are very overpriced. Maybe they will get their act together, but no manager came to us last night, no one thanked us for putting up with lots of snafus.
