O.K. But Not Great. I was impressed that they had poached egg dishes, but the hollandaise does taste a bit odd in a way that isn’t easily described. Nothing was bad, and the bacon was good. The hash browns are my least favorite of the local chains. The service was fine and this is an o.k. option when in-a-pinch.
Not a good experience. Unfortunately I’m embarrassed I suggested this place. I needed ketchup but the server never returned after giving us our food and I could never get her attention so I went without. We sat there clearly completely finished and never got our check until I finally stood up and found someone. They didn’t have our first choice pie so we went with another and I got quite a sad slice. The more I think about it the more I regret paying the 15% tip, this service was just so bad!
Twice as nasty as the first time. Nasty. I always say that I’ll try anything twice. I gave Village Inn another go today and was disappointed again. Out of the 4 items on my plate, only 1 was acceptable – the hashbrowns. They were super crispy. The eggs & sausage were gross; the potatoes were over cooked. On a happier note, the waitress was pleasant.
What Happened?. My first time at Village in was awesome, great service, good food, but now it’s like they’re not even trying. Horrible under-staffed; I think it was just the manager, server, and cook. The server forgot the bread with my meal, and when I brought it to her attention, she disappeared and my bread never showed up. I was really disappointed, I didnt even want to free pie at the end of it. Horrible experience.
This is just Baker’s Square in the South. Chain restaurant. Average meals. Nothing to write home about.
