Great place to grab lunch downtown. Outside dining on Palafox street. Good wine selection. Good Food. Nice environment and friendly service. Nice place to gather with friends. Recommended.
I love this place!! Wines are priced to experiment. Food is well done and creative. Staff is warm and friendly! It has most relaxing environments as well. Dogs are welcome. They will even bring your dog water while you are dinning.
Beautiful atmosphere, great wine selection, flavorful tapas……however the staff could improve. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly until she saw her 25% tip on the table. The only reason we left that much is because we visit often and didn’t know if she was having an off night. However, the woman manager with brown hair was quirky and nice.
My wife and I went to here for dinner on Saturday night. It was a very busy evening, but despite of the chaos of downtown our server was very attentive and the food was delicious. This was our first time coming here and our server Kelly was so helpful with wine selections, and was very knowledgable about the menu and features. We are coming back soon.
Service has decreased. We have been supporters of Wine Bar back when it was rather unknown (we frequent the Destin location) and have noticed a huge decline in service at the Pensacola location. Saturday afternoon was probably the worst visit yet. It was about 1pm so we were hoping the service would be better since it was a later lunch. The 3 tables on the street were occupied by pairs (who already had food/drinks) and the first 3 other outdoor tables were also occupied. We had a small table between the two doors next to the window. It took at least 20 minutes to be noticed by the frazzled (and sole) waiter outside. We ordered a carafe of wine (as it was happy hour) which took about another 20 minutes to arrive. We were slightly irritated but being that it was a lovely day, we let it slide. However, we immediately put in our order of 1 cup and 1 bowl of the crab & corn chowder to start, followed by the Wine Bar Salad and Tuscan panini for lunch. Almost 45 minute later, still no soup, no acknowledgement from our server… It almost appeared as though he was avoiding us because we didn’t even see him. The other girl who was working the outside party at the far side came to bring me a small side salad (which we obviously didn’t order) and when I told her it wasn’t ours, she walked back inside. We decided that after an hour without so much as a cup of already prepared soup, we would just pay for the wine and leave. Of course several more minutes passed before someone working there came by, which happened to be the same woman with our soup. Fine – we decided we’d stay. No more than 1 bit into our soup, she returns with our entrees. Not desirable. Of course, my husband received the wrong sandwich and side… but no one came back to check on us. Finally, I had to walk inside and address the issue, to which the chef told me he had try to tell the woman she was bringing us the wrong food. No apologies from our waiter or the other woman. Extremely disappointing service and food was sub-par.
Alcohol is the only reason I will return (a 4th time).. Food descriptions are great, however it’s soooo lacking when it arrives at the table. The setting is wonderful, too bad the food doesn’t deliver. Get someone in there that can actually put a plate together that doesn’t look and taste like trail mix from walmart, sliced cheese from Sams, cubed, dry, unseasoned chicken breast, and jarred sauces. What a disappointment –consistently.
User reviews. This wine bar is located in the heart of downtown Pensacola near Garden and Palafox. They have street side seating which makes for a great evening of people watching, delectable cheeses, and delicious wines. Many wines are sourced in-house and available only there, plus happy hour (before 6pm) gets you 12oz pours at 5 oz prices. Great time!
