Overpriced. The food was decent but pricey. Atmosphere was nice, but there was an annoyingly loud fan or hood in the kitchen that would turn on every few minutes. The main reason I wouldn’t go back, though, is that they automatically added a 20% tip to our bill. I was there with my two kids and a friend with her kid. I understand it is standard industry policy to add an 18% gratuity to the bills of large parties of eight or more, but this is the first time I have ever been charged an automatic 20% tip. And no, our kids were not obnoxious or messy (two ten year old girls and a six year old boy). I don’t know why they did that, but it sure rubbed me the wrong way. I will stick to Siam Thai in Westchase–better food at lower prices, and no automatic gratuities, but their service makes me want to leave 20% every time!
Exceptional food and service. My family dines at this restaurant at least twice a month. The food is excellent, always hot, tasty and fresh. The service is superb with attentive, friendly and smiling waiters. Love this place!
Great little Thai. We’ve eaten and gotten to-go orders many times over the past 5 years at Amarit, and highly recommend.it. It is a jewel-box of a place, a good date night restaurant with pleasant service and delicious food. We are never disappointed dining here.
Great Service Great Food. I have dined many times at the Amarit Thai Restaurant. The service is superb.The waiters are friendly, discreet, and exceptionally polite.The spring rolls are excellent. The food is the best Thai food I have had. I am comparing it to upscale Thai restaurants in New England.The atmosphere is elegant and authentic Thai style.You will not be disappointed.
Most disappointing. We ordered the springs rolls. They were spongy and tasteless as if they have been sitting somewhere for quite some time.My partner ordered the seafood pad thai and found three small shrimp. The noodles were in clumps as if the noodles had been sitting out for hours.I ordered the vegetable tofu noodles. There were three small cubes of tofu, hardly any vegetables and the noodles in mine were also clumped together.Enjoying Thai food in Thailand for over 50 visits, and dining at other Thai establishments in the Greater Tampa area, the aforementioned cost $43.00. My recommendation is please avoid there is better around.
