Lovely place to eat breakfast and dinner. I stayed at this lovely resort for a week and had no intentions of eating anywhere off the premises. Everything was wonderful every single time. The staff was amazing. The place was clean. Family friendly. To go orders already ready at the promised time. My eyes were definitely bigger than my belly when it came to breakfast. The omelet bar was to die for. I cant wait to go back.
Save your money and go elsewhere. Poor food and service. Please note that this review is not about the Tradewinds Resort. I loved everything else about the resort however this restaurant in the resort was very unimpressive. Service was poor, food presentation was poor and taste was below average. I could have gone to Outback for a much better steak and paid half. The waiter never checked on us and I had to call him for drink refills twice. I had to get up and go get my own steak knife. Rolls were as hard as a rock.My wife ordered a sirloin that was very tough with little flavor and the mash potatoes were taken from the buffet. I ordered the prime rib and crab leg buffet. Crab legs were ok but the prime rib was not tasty and the buffet was an absolute mess. Dry ravioli, super greasy and buttery potatoes, the desert cakes and pies that were not pre-sliced so you are stuck with the messiest desert table as everyone is attempting to cut the pies. The only buffet food that I enjoyed was the shrimp.
Its hard to pay $185.00 for three adults and two kids to eat. Especially when the sloppy beef o’bradys food is made in the same kitchen as Bermudas.Breakfast was not much better.
Bartender does not know how to make a martini. We ordered the turkey dinner for Thanksgivingthe turkey has an awful initial flavor note, the stuffing and mashed were not notable, the green beans were really good and desert, what can I say, was probably really good when it was made last month. Mcdonalds would have been a better flavor experience, however the atmosphere was great with the sunset when the servers where not using questionable language when passing by. Most definitely not a place I would recommend
Very disappointed this time. 3/26/13 flew in to Tampa to enjoy a week at St. Pete beach. Went to Snappers first but it was standing room only. Decided to go to Bermuda’s as we had been there last year 5 or 6 times because it was delicious and service was great. This time, I had the crab legs and a side order of crab meat which turned out to be a crab cake with a nasty crust and no taste and dry. I must have gotten the bottom of the pot because I got mostly small claws filled with water and over cooked. Paid $40 for 2 lbs and ate half of it. The best part was the cheesy cauliflower. Daughter had the shrimp/scallop Alfredo noodles which were ok except there is too much red wine added. So if you order this and do not care for red wine or your food swimming in it, please request before hand. Wife ordered the filet mingon well done and it came out rare. I believe every restaurant has a bad day once in a while and will probably try this place again but come on, when you serve someone 2 lbs of small watery overlooked crab legs that cost $21 a pound you obviously have some issues in the kitchen.
ALL BAD! We picked this place because of the kids eat free deal of 2 kis meals for each adult entree. We should have ran far far away the moment we came here. The entry smelled so bad, my 6 year old asked about it. We were lead into a restaurant that had obviously had an attempt to recently improve its decor, but it was corny. Vinyl table clothes, clouds painted on the ceiling, poor attempt on carribean styled lattice. But enough about the poot decor (service was akward and lacking as well). I ordered the fish tacos and my wife ordered the lobster quesidillas. The fish tacos were fried, which the mebu did bot indicate. The tortillas were burnt and coated in butter. The lobster quesidilla was oozing with grease, inside and out. The mashed potatoes were floating in butter. Everything was greasy and nothing tasted good. Had it not been for free kid meals, I would have sent everything back. Nevermind the waiter bot bringing pico de gallo sauce after veing requested 3 different times. The kicker… Even the Pico De Gallo had grease in it. Worst meal in a very long time.
It’s very pricey. The conceal dusted rainbow trout was delicious.
