The food was great but that is all that saved this place! We showed up and were asked if we had a reservation, we said no and even though the restaurant was over half empty we were informed there would be a 30min wait. We came to check on a table 25min later and she had forgotten about us! Once we finally got seated it was 25min before anyone came to take our drink order. We ordered everything at once since it took so long. My food was cooked, my husband got sushi. My food came out about 20min before my husbands! I don’t know why we waited but the food was good, once we got it.
Terrible. My girlfriend and I came here for my birthday dinner. The menu was EXTREMELY overpriced (we live in St. Augustine, another tourist town; so we are used to high prices). We decided to order simply, since we did not want to pay an exorbitant amount of money. After ordering two waters and two rolls of sushi we waited 25 minutes for our waters. Our waitress (who completely ignored us after forgetting our drinks, and kept serving her two tables around us) did not even bring our drinks. The hostess came by after seeing we didn’t have a drink and had to bring us water. After waiting another 15 minutes (40 minutes total) we got our two rolls which were decent, but not too impressive. My sushi roll was not completely wrapped and the seaweed was torn apart on every piece. We ate in less than 10 minutes and got the hell out of there. Lets not leave out the screaming unattended children running around the dining room. DO NOT RECOMMEND. AVOID.
Sushi app was a great value. Hibachi dinner was typical but enjoyable. Sushi rolls had large portions of fish.
Do not waste your time and money by eating there!! Food was way over priced for the small portions that you get! We have eaten at a lot of Japanese places and this place was horrible! Way over priced! Payed $24 for steak and chicken and got a small bowl of rice unlike other places you leave with a box full to take home. This place is way over priced for the small portions you get!! Do not eat here!!
Hibach food was good. Only had California roll. It was good but can’t comment on others. Service was good. Wad nervous bc wasn’t that busy.
Given that this is Japanese food at the beach it is good and reasonably priced. We tried earlier in the week and are headed back tonight.
I had the Mexican roll and found it to be the best sushi I have ever had anywhere. The Yaki Niku (spicy beef) was also very good but the portions were so large I couldn’t finish. The waitress and the chef were friendly. This place is amazing!
