The Duck (not with cherry sauce). I have been spoiled. I can’t order duck at any other restaurant as it will not be as good as the duck served at Good Times. I always order ahead of time and have never been disappointed.
Revisited an Old Friend. We decided to go to Good Times when we wanted some German food and while we had not been there in several years. we were pleasently surprised. It was a shock to see only one other couple in the restaurant when we got there but we decided to stay anyway. It was worth it and I had my old favorite of the three meats – pork chop, bratwurst and pork loin with a gravy sauce. I did not want the wine kraut as I like my kraut sour and do not like a sweet kraut. They were happy to substitute the Lyon patotoes but they looked and tasted to me as if they were oven browned which were wonderful..Wife had the two filets and they were cooked perfectly and very tasty. Cucumber salad is an old favorite and it also was chilled perfectly and delicious. There was no mention that they would not take a credit card until the dinner was over and this is wrong. Luckily my wife had her checkbook but it is not a pleasant surprice to find that there is a restaurant that will not take a cred or debit card. Wake up Good Times.On the way out, we saw one other couple and we figured this must be what is happening there as we only saw one waitress.
Confusing. Enjoyed the friendly service and the food was good.When the meal was over and I was told to put my credit card in my wallet and pay with CASH. There was no signs or any indication on the menu that mentioned CASH. Had to go to the ATM across the street which dampened what was a good dining experience.
Good Times at Good Times. We had a lovely meal. The goulash was very flavorful and the meat fork tender. Schnitzel had a crispy light coating anda delicate meat underneath. Mushroom potato soup was delicious. Hosts were charming, service was swift and efficient. It was a wonderful evening.
Wonderful Surprise!. This restaurant was recommended to us by a long time resident of Tierra Verde and was described as the best restaurant in Florida. It is hard to ignore an endorsement like that so my business partner and I tried this restaurant last night. Amazing! From the beer to the stroganoff to the strudel to the coffee – All wonderful! This place is so unassuming from the looks of it, it is easy to miss. They only take cash and are closed Monday and Sunday but man, it is so worth it.
Hidden Treasure. Great food and the service is exellent! It has been around for a long time, but it was our first visit. Definately a favorite.
