Get ready to pay too much. I understand and agree that you should pay for the convenience of having food delivered. But House of China takes it too far. First, they require a minimum of $12 for delivery. Unfortunately, their meals are under this amount so I had to order extra food. My meal was 10.50 so by the time I added another unnecessary item, I was way over the $12 minimum. Then when I received the bill, there were 2 additional fees: a $1 dollar delivery fee and $1 gas surcharge. And, of course, you feel like a tool if you don’t tip the delivery person so my meal for one ended up at a whopping $20! Pick either the minimum order amount or tack on the delivery fees… but all of the above is excessive. The food was decent, but I will not be a returning customer on principle alone.

Awesome Crispy Hot Beef. This is my favorite take out chinese place in the area! They have an awesome crispy hot beef which is strips of beef deep fried until they are crispy and served up with a delicious spicy/sweet sauce. I’ve never had anything from here that isn’t good and it’s reasonably priced.
Great Food…. I am baffled by the negative comments some people are leaving. I am new to the area and originally from NYC. The food served at House of China is top notch. I love Chinese food and will say that the food ordered is just as good or better than I have ordered in other restaurants in other cities or states. I am there at least once a week and will be placing a take out order after I write this. Five stars all the way. Great food and terrific terrific. Highly recommended to all…
Well folks here’s another waste of my time and money. Piss Poor quality, bland favor, tried 3 soups and dump all of them yuck! Anyone that has followed my reviews know I don’t sugar coat a location. Consider yourself warned when I say Panda Express is better and I hate that chain.
Don’t do it!. Based on the rating this place had from other users, I tried it. We needed delivery and this one was the closest to our hotel. I am baffled by how this place got good reviews. My only guess is that these other reviewers know the owners, or have never eaten any halfway decent Chinese food before. We had 2 entrees, an appetizer and soup. There was nothing redeeming about any of these dishes. I was pretty darn hungry that night, and usually I will find a way to finish even below average food when the tummy beckons for more, but this was like a bad joke. Our choices were beef and broccoli, seafood fried rice, crab rangoon, and egg drop soup. Could it be that they just don’t make these particular dishes very well? Perhaps, but I would never ever take the chance with anything else here either. This is one of the worst places I have ever eaten at over the years. In one simple word….terrible.
Nice small simple Chinese restaurant. Good food, nothing fancy, good value for money.
