I don't give a lot of 5 stars but it's warranted for this place. Hard to be more authentic Italian than this. Pressed sandwiches are outstanding. Brea…

The staff was very attentive to the various needs of a family of eight. Selection was what I have found in Rome and Naples. The food itself- legit. Typical European pastry- sweet, but not too sweet, nice serving size, etc. A must try has to be the Sfogliatella aka as the lobster tail. We had two on top of our breakfast.
Lovely authentic Italian!! Stopped in for brunch – pastries, breakfast sandwiches, espresso – and everything was divine. Great family atmosphere. Will definitely be back during our next trip!
MUST visit! What a great experience, year after year!. First time we went to this place, was at their old location last year. Our visit this year was in the middle of them moving to the new location, what a WONDERFUL family. Just before closing the old place, they still took an order from us. Our yearly St Pete trip is just not the same unless we get to visit them! DELICIOUS chocolate croissants! AWESOME coffees and sandwiches! The BEST croissants we have ever had! We look forward to returning to St Pete next year and visiting them in their new location!
This is the second year in a row that my boyfriend and I have stayed next door for our vacation, and the number one reason was la casa del pane. The coffee here is the best I’ve ever had, and the pastries make my NYC pastry snob boyfriend very happy. HIGHLY recommend this place!!19 May, 2013Best bakery! I ordered an Americano two days in a row and it put Starbucks to shame. The staff was lovely and the baked goods were to die for.
Omigosh. Been coming to St. Pete’s Beach for years–on average 3x a year. We stay at the Bon-Aire (shhhh…best kept secret EVER) across the street. LCDP is directly across the street. Oh yeah, the chocolate croissants are delicioso, but their focaccia is out-of-this-world! Great food! We’ve always had good service. Yes, it IS a total local hangout. But in my mind, that’s usually a good sign.
Great Little Bakery. I love the bread at this bakery, pretty well pure stuff. The staff are the problem. I’ve been overcharged in this place more times than enough and the staff are always surly. They serve their favourite people before the people in line … not good policy. However, since it’s the best place for bread for miles around, I’m forced to bite my tongue and just buy their stuff. Need to put a smile on those faces folks! And make sure you don’t charge me for the previous customer’s stuff as well as mine. Get a new cash register, something modern.
Very friendly staff. Great eggplant sandwich as well as cannoli!
