Horrible sushi. The fish in the sushi and sashimi did not taste fresh and seemed to be spoiled. We had to throw away most of our order, even though we spent quite a lot of money on the check, because the food was indelible. We called the restaurant to express our concerns and they said there was nothing they could do. I hope no one gets good poisoning here. Bad service, high prices and worst of all, serves what tastes like spoiled, not fresh raw fish.
I have taken to living by my wits!. Great heavens, the vitriol extolled on this quaint establishment is certainly without due course…… My travels have taken me all over the world and I can certainly attest that Mike’s Sushi and Sake Bar is a fine establishment with a penchant for the delicious and should be visited early and often.Watson and I have dined here no less than a dozen times and never, EVER, has there been so much as a errant edamame pod. A full if not simplistic Sushi Menu with special rolls available as well as a complete menu of full entrees for the non-sushi lover.My advice is to not be swayed by the loud and vocal negative bullhorns and use your own wits to draw the conclusion you will surely come to – that Mike’s is a fine Sushi Restaurant and one that You will look forward to visiting again and again….. it’s Elementary really! thesherlockholmesreviews.com
Do not recommend!!! went with my family including my daughter. Their service was horrible. It took forever to get our food and it wasn’t good at all. Please don’t waste your money in this place.
Read all the wonderful reviews, and this place was close by my job so I decided to try it out. When I walked in all the employees assumed I had ordered take out, finally I was seated once seated, I decided which sushi rolls I wanted the waitress informed me they had a $15 minimum for credit cards/debit cards!! (Im not even sure if thats legal) so to surpass the $15 minimum I ordered a coke as well. Sushi was average nothing special. My soda tasted awful, and then when I asked for a to go box and cup for my $2 soda I was forced to order.. the waitress told me they dont have cups to go!! ***not a good experience, definitely wont be back!!
First timer here. Good, authentic sushi. Small, intimate place, fast service. Kind of place you go to if you want good sushi, but not looking for elegant surroundings.
The best Sushi around here, period. Comparable to Nobu! Fish quality and selection superior. Mike has assembled an outstanding staff,as well. Don’t miss it!
