Charming Seaside well run restaurant .. Had a great experience. Staff is proficient and attentive. Food was terrific , hot , and the portions were huge . The entrees were perfect and served with correct tasty sides . Bong Bong Shrimp appetizer , so much better than the Bonefish version. Will go back again , and again. We recommend to all friends and readers . The outside band was tolerable , and the outside deck is a great place to hang out in a safe and convivial atmosphere. Much thanks, Gigi Grimshaw , The Island Reporter

Medicore, but it will do. I want to give this place 4 stars and it should definitely half 3.5 but that doesn’t happen .On our way from Mad Beach to Pass a grille drove by here and after seeing their menu on line decided to eat here in stead of Monkey Balls as I was sure, at the very least, it had to be cleaner. They had just opened on a Sunday lunchtime so we opted for a large comfy booth by the window with Joel as our waiter.PEM had the Victory Summer of Love($5.00) and I had a Salty Dog with tequila ($8.00)We started with the queso pobalano with tri color chips. It was good ($7.90) hot and spicy and the chips were thing and crispyAnother drink or so we opted to split a Ropa Vieja sandwich, served on pressed Cuban bread with swiss and side of fries ($8.90) It was quite good BUT came out barely warm ( I don’t think they heated the meat before pressing it) so within a couple bites it turned cold. Although the meat was nicely flavored the temp was a turn off.As was the temp of the restaurant. It was hot! Granted it’s mid August in Florida but I expect indoors to be cool. especially since there was no one else there. It really made it so uncomfortable we opted to leave. I will go back, when in the area, when it’s cooler so I can sit out on the water. They do have some interesting menu items, and their drink selection is quite varied. just don’t expect anything stellar

Great atmosphere and great food. Went to the Salty Rim for lunch on a Monday and there was only 1 other couple there. Our server explained how they had just revamped the exterior of bar and the menu. My boyfriend got a dozen oysters and the calamari appetizer. He raved about the oysters and there must have been a pound of calamari on that plate. I got the blackened shrimp with the mofongo. It was pretty good. Followed up by key lime pie – It was OK. I don’t really care for meringue on my pie. The only drawback was the check. We drank iced tea and our bill was over $50 for lunch.

Great experience all around. First of all, they were very accommodating for our group of six, ages 10 to 75, when we wanted to eat outside and all the tables were full…pushing smaller tables together, etc. Good margaritas, and the rest of the drink menu looked fun as well. Everyone enjoyed their food, from the fish tacos, to ribs, and conch fritters and ceviche(I think it was named seafood margaritas). But the best was the Oyster Bar Junk…lots of seafood with coconut rice. No room for dessert, will have to try it the next time. We will only be here 1 week, but already plan on coming back. As we mentioned this on our way out, they said to bring back our receipt for 10% off our return visit!

Our waitress was very sweet and the food was good. The whole family enjoyed it. They have a great water front eating area but unfortunately it was too chilly that night to eat outside. Nice place.

The food was delicious, and they had live music (Sunday early afternoon)
