5stars! Wow what can I say from the moment I walked in I felt so excited! The staff are all so warm & inviting & not afraid to crack a joke to make you smile, there food is delicious weather you order from snappers kitchen or the other menu choices they have going on! Chef Marin makes the best sushi in town my mouth waters just thinking about it, & on the weekends you can smell the place just by driving by sweet aromas of BBQ from the ginormous smoker they have out front slow cooking & pumping out all the best BBQ in town! They have something for everyone full liquor bar with great drink specials & menu specials, music,trivia, live bands & not to mention there live comedians from all over always there for a good laugh. Snappers us super roomy they have a comedy side on Friday & Saturday nights a eat in restaraunt with a inside bar with tons of room & also an outdoor covered patio bar where they have dj’s & live entertainment throughout the week. Snappers never stops to amaze me & I’m looking forward to my next stop! Everytime I’m in town this is my go to spot for food fun & entertainment always overly pleased! Two thumbs up snappers! Good job!
Bad Exoerience. We bought a comedy show/ dinner package from Travel Zoo that included two comedy show admissions, two drinks and two entrees with a value of up to $25 each. When we ordered entrees listed on their menu that were $25 each, they tried to charge us $11 each extra and told us that these entrees were not included. The package was very clear and did not exclude any menu items. The items that we ordered were the only two items on the menu that were priced anywhere near $25. The manager admitted that the certificate we purchased said $25 entrees, but refused to honor it as he said the food was sold by a separate vendor. The food from these vendors was shown on his menu! He then misled us and said that they had just started using this vendor. I live around the corner and this vendor has been operating in his parking lot for two years. We walked out, as the food is not that good there anyway. I would suggest a better restaurant like Applebees or Chilies!
Came from Miami to Palm Harbor to attend a conference. Four of us went to Snapper’s for dinner. We had the Sushi, Snapper’s Fish and Chips, and the Pull Pork. The food was amazing. The service was awesome. It’s a casual fun place. Enjoyed the comedy show. Great food and lots of fun.
Needs Improvement. I thought CoolDaddy’s review below was a bit harsh…but I understand what he is trying to say. Snappers is a local bar-turned-comedy club…since the club part is the smaller half of the bar now…what you have is an intimate setting, but it was comfortable. The server, managers, & service itself were all great, but the food was just ok (similar to a Mom & Pop joint thats cutting corners on quality)…not that it was bad – it just wasn’t good. As for drinks…not sure about the top-shelf or well-brands…but the Sangria we had was very cheap and not good at all. The comedian however (Steve Arik)…was very FUNNY as were the two other prequels acts that preceded him! Combine these elements…with a close to home (in Palm Harbor) locale…and I think we have a promising outlet for entertainment in a very boring town! All YOU need (pay attention Snappers Manager) is to get yourselves a GOOD chef and put out some simple, but GOOD tasting food – its not that difficult! if you think your food is good…the problem may be you …have others taste-test! Also…get yourself some GOOD liquor – also very simple…lastly…get NAME ACTS and if you can do these three things…you will become VERY successful!! The people will flood your place with cash and gratitude! Just dooooo it!
LOVE IT. The Comedy Club has headliners from all over, I am a regular and the place is awesome with good food and a kind staff. The manager comes around and greets everybody personally on an hourly basis to ensure everything is alright, he really takes care of the people. I will continue returning.
Snappers in an embarrassment to comedy!. I love comedy and now I live in Clearwater. So when I found out that there was a comedy club closer than the Tamp improv I was excited. That was until I went there. I have lived all over and been to a lot of hole in the wall comedy clubs. I used to hit up the Comedy Store and Laugh Factory in Hollywood. I got to see Dane Cook before he was big and have The Dice Man work out material never done before (it sucked, but I still like him).We got free tix from a comic that I saw a few times at the Tampa Improv. They told me to come down and bring friends. So I brought 9 people with me. This was a mistake. Everyone had a crappy time. PERIOD. The place was run by Jackals. The wait staff was poor. We had to order 2 items (which is commonplace for most comedy clubs) but it only works out if the two items are good. My girlfriend and I ordered a basket of fries and fried cheese sticks. She also order a drink (rum and sprite). Others order drinks and food. One person in our group ordered a burger which came out before the fries and apps. That would be fine ( mistakes happen) if the food was actually good. It tasted like ass (this is from a guy who in college eat a bag of chips with a 2 litter for breakfast) and make me and everyone else sick. Now one of the reasons people go to a comedy club is to drink and laugh. My GF order a drink and she complained! She usually complains its too strong. This time there was no liquor at all. She is a lightweight. Then they charge us to fix it. Nice! Serve us crappy food that makes us sick and then weak drinks. By no means was anyone in my group a heavy drinker. My soda pop tasted poor also.Finally the manager should be embarrassed to show their face to their family. The headliner comic was overtaken by two drink middle aged women that was screaming in the bathroom and during the show. In a professional comedy club (even hole in the wall clubs can and are professional) they would let that go on for about 1-2 mins then shut it down. Not the lovely snappers staff. These two girls were talking trash even to the guest in the audience. Since there was only 20 people in the club as a whole the Snappers Manager and Staff felt they need all the business they can get. They just decided to do nothing and let it ruin a lot of peoples time. I guess it does not take class to run a comedy club. May the Snappers Manager and Staffs moms hide in shame for raising such trash. I used to sub-promote for a club out in SoCal and would have been willing to bring even more local people next time. But even if they paid me, I would not go back. In fact I will be filing a complaint to the State of Florida Agriculture and consumers affairs department.I do not work for the Tampa Improv, but if you do not mind the drive its worth it. Stick to that. They have better headliners, food and drinks. Its worth it. Now to be fair I have not yet been to Sidesplitters comedy club, so they might be a lot better than Snappers also. I will post more when I do visit.
