Horrible and RUDE Service. Living near the beach provides great venues for musical entertainment. The Blue Parrot offers a nice outdoor seating area. Unfortunately you have to endure poor service and poor food. We would sometimes overlook that and still go there several times a month. Today is the LAST time we will go there.As a local we understand it is peak season; however; locals are what sustains local businesses when it is off season. This afternoon we sat down only to be approached by a server that told us if we were not ordering anything but drinks we had to order $12.00 per person as we were in the middle of her tables. Another approach would have been do you mind moving to the back area near the bar as we expect more people this evening. I told my family we were leaving as we did not need to have someone so rude speak with us like that. I then decided to be fair to go to the owner /manager only to find him equally as rude. He stated as a business owner he could not afford to have us just order drinks when he was expecting a group of people there this evening .We are also business owners and know the value of customers which this establishment appears not to understand. We have plenty of other great options with great food, great service and good musical entertainment without worrying out returning to the Blue Parrot.For every upset customers they tell others which it appears he forgot. This experience will be shared with our neighbors and friends so they are aware of the poor customer experience.

Good local bar…food not so hot!. After ordering the special, seafood lasagna, it was served cold. The waitress returned it to the kitchen to be heated. When it came back to the table, the cheese was now on the bottom and burned. It was so tough that a knife could not even cut it. Tough lasagna???? Really??? The waitress was very unconcerned too. When we pointed out that there was something very hard to cut through in the lasagna, she actually took the knife and fork, poked through the food, and then said it was the cheese that could not be cut. After someone plays with my food, I do not expect to eat it. Unbelievable and unheard of. Even though the meal was not edible, FULL PRICE WAS CHARGED EVEN AFTER THE COMPLAINT!!!I have been here before and not been too impressed but wanted to give it another try…but this is certainly my last visit and will never recommend it to my local friends or visitors.
2.50 bloodys mmm. Went in yesterday for breakfast. we arrived early and the staff made us feel welcome and grabbed us drinks while we waited. i had a greek omlette that had black olives, spinach, tomatoes, and feta. it was delcious. they have a really cute patio and outside bar also.
Love the Blue Parrot. My husband and I love the Blue Parrot! We go at least once a month for brunch ($2.50 mimosas and bloody marys!) and a couple of times a month for lunch. The wait-staff is friendly and the bartender, Mike, is great! If you go for brunch get the eggs benendict with crab AND spinach (florentine). MMMMM! We’ve never been disappointed!
Disappointing. The service was totally lacking, the menu looked great but did not meet expectations. The temperature of the space was very warm and the food arrived cold. With the great number of restaurants on Gulf Boulevard, I don’t even remember why I ventured to the end of Corey Avenue for a lousy meal. The wait staff was more attentive to the diners outside on the patio, apparently that’s where they rather be.
