Amazing restaurant. Been coming here for years. The wait time can be a little long during peak hours, but it’s always worth the wait. The salt and pepper squid is mind blowing, and the beef chow fun is exquisite.
Disappointed. Have eaten here for years and my experience there last night was the worst. Dishes came out one at a time and rice was served last. Ordered lobster and when the bill came they had charged me for a 2lb lobster. There were parts missing, most notably the tail. They insisted they had cooked the whole lobster but it was only claw meat and legs. I didn’t recognize anyone working there and can only conclude there has been a change in ownership and not for the best. Won’t be going back.
The Worst. Had reservation. Waited one hour, watched the cahier’s dirty kid sleeping on the floor behind her. Finally placed food order. Waited another hour. Dishes came out one by one as others have noted. The first main dish before the appitizers. To ad insult to injury the beer glass was a wine glass; drank out of bottle. Everyone raves about the XO sauce. Any strip mall Chinese is as good… really. I have to say ABC is among the worst dining experiences ever. Honestly, I’ve had more enjoyable chemo drip sessions. No kidding!
Food is good. But I saw something of which most people dont expect it. Accidentaly,I went to kitchen,I saw all the chef inside ,all smoking while they r cooking. The cigarettes are still on their months. What happen their ash is inside the meal?
Definitely NOT my Preference. If this is authentic Chinese food, then give me the New York takeout!!! I was disappointed with each of the 3 items I ordered, each for different reasons. BTW, this was a take out order. The eggrolls were small with spicy cabbage inside. Not much else. They come 4 to an order and I threw 3 of them away as there was no point in eating them. The house special fried rice was greasy and the rice itself was mushy. I much prefer a firmer rice in this dish. The ‘special’ part is shrimp, pork, chicken, mushrooms, etc., and it was not easy finding these items in the dish as they were diced and quite small. The portion size was large, though, so would have been a good deal if it was tasty as well. It wasn’t. The other dish was a noodle dish that I thought was LoMein with shrimp and scallops. The noodles were tiny and crispy and the shrimp/scallops/vegetables had 2 shrimp, 3 scallops (small) and a few other veggies thrown in to a lot of sauce. Maybe it was my not knowing this was not your usual Chinese restaurant, but I would think the price you pay should warrant more than 2 shrimp and 3 scallops and fried rice that is cooked properly. But that’s just me… This is not a place to which I would return.
This is the only affordable Chinese restaurant in my area that’s even close to being authentic. Took me seventeen years to find one! As for the service, other reviewers have complained, but one of my favorite aspects is that they let you eat your meal in peace. I always get everything I need when I need it, and they’ve even thrown in dessert a few times. Love it!
Not Impressed. Food was underwhelming and monotonous. Some was oily as mentioned by other reviews. Do not get a very clean feeling when eating here and service was slow/non existant. Won’t be going back.
