Holy Smokes!. Been a customer of Bogarts for years. Way back to the one that was on East Bay. Usually stop in a couple times a week after work. Was in there right before shift change and was floored. The bartender coming on (which I thought was a customer) was so rude and on her way to being snockered. Let’s say she had a pretty good buzz and it was only 6:00. Not the person I’d want running my business or handling my money. I cashed out and left before the shift change. I had planned on bringing my birthday party there this weekend. Second guessing that one. I love the bar but maybe it’s time to find a new bartender? I will turn around and walk back out if she’s working when I go in. Definitely watch your tabs you never know what could end up on it.
I used to drink here aaaaalllll the time (in 1996). straight there after work and left at closing time 🙂 i can’t believe it’s still around! i liked it because no one bothered me (a girl drinking alone) and it was basic, no-frills. i miss that place! i’m now in england where booze is waaay too pricey and pubs are full of themselves…:/
Rude bar. I’ve never stepped inside this place, and never will. The fact that once or twice a month they decide to crank up their music so loud and open their back door till about 3 am and wake up the neighborhood that is situated right behind them. RUDE RUDE RUDE. Close your door & turn down your music at the appropriate time so the neighborhood can sleep.
