May not look like much, but oh man! The service was very good and accommodating but we went there at 1pm. the Margaritas are addictive (no pre-bottled mix) and refreshing! The food was very good. I don’t know about the people that wrote such terrible reviews on the food and service, as I did not find any of what they said to be the case in the last three times I have eaten there. Probably the best kept secret in St. Petersburg! I like a good guacamole (not filled with all that onion, garlic and pico de gallo) and found theirs to be very good — at least I knew I was eating avocado. The chef’s special I had was outstanding and more than I could eat. Anxious to go back and check out other chef’s specials. Their chimichanga was very authentic and quite tasty. I highly recommend this place. Try it — you’ll probably like it!
Kind if a strange place for a Mexican restaurant but it is clean and very friendly. The service is prompt and the margaritas are pretty good. That’s where the good stuff ends. Everything is overly salty! This is coming from a guy who normally likes salt. The beef enchiladas and the rice were too salty to eat. It’s really too bad because besides the salt they had good flavor. I’m really going to miss good Mexican food in Tampa Bay having just relocated here from Texas. I’ll keep trying.

We were looking for a place in Pinellas county to replace our favorite place in Pasco and we have found it! The chips and salsa were fresh and had a bite but not too much. The Tampequeno steak was well seasoned and delicious. My only disappointment was the guacamole, which was a little on the bland side. Overall it was a nice surprise to find and don’t let the location prevent you from giving it a try!
Will return. No complaints here. I was planning on going to Seor Taco but I forgot that they were closed on Mondays so I checked my Yelp bookmarks and I remembered that I wanted to try this place. Don’t be discouraged by the location, as you can see with the majority of the reviews, the food is worth the location. To me, my quesadilla tasted very similar to Estela’s in Gateway near the Publix and the Ibis Walk shopping center. Like others said in their reviews for here, the corn chips were very good and fresh. The guacamole was also very good – very plain and simple but that’s the day I personally like the guacamole. As of writing this review, I’ve only been here once but plan to return…
I tried this restaurant last night and I have to say im glad I did, I was hesitant being in a budget inn but man the food was good I had the chimi changa and it was by far the best I had around Tampa/st pete I go to Mexican restaurants quite often so I’m glad I found this place.
What a surprise. Our son an…. What a surprise.Our son and his girlfriend took us here last night. Not much to look at on the outside attached to a hotel and all.Inside it is small but nice. Run by a small family that takes pride in what they do.You need to give this place a try. We did and will be back.
