FOUR BEST FOODS EVER!!!! 1 …. FOUR BEST FOODS EVER!!!!1 Fried Chicken. 2 Sweet Potatoes 3 Bread Pudding 4 Pecan pie. Sweet potatoes. Whipped with a strudel topping. Both my wife and I agree they were the best we ever had.Bread pudding. Moist, but not too moist. Sweet, but not too sweet. Again wife and I both agree, the best we ever had.Pecan pie. Pecan pie like this one you’ll only find at a quality bakery. Plenty of pecans on top, filling moist and sweet but not too sweet, just right, crust perfect. Fried chicken. As other people have mentioned in the reviews, this chicken was the most, amazing, best fried chicken, we have ever had. Smoked BBQ Chicken was also excellent.THOSE FOUR FOODS ARE THE BEST OF ITS TYPE WE’VE EVER HAD, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME !!!!Absolutely everything on the buffet was cooked properly, fresh tasting, and being of a very good product quality. That is that is seldom ever the case at a buffet diner. We both thoroughly enjoyed everything that we took and not one food item was unsatisfactory.BBQ RIBS. (not always being served). I am a rib connoisseur. Ribs are my passion, both eating them, and smoking them. Pork ribs were a St. Louis cut, with a nice essence, seasoned so good, that you did not even want to put barbecue sauce on them. Smoky and perfectly cooked. Kansas City tomato-based type sauce, sweet, thick, mild, but ordinary yet good.Baked beans. Homemade cooked beans, not doctored up out of a can.Darker in color, slightly sweet with just a slight hint of barbecue sauce taste. Very good.Macaroni and cheese. Baked with real cheese, not an imitation cheese sauce. Definitely better than most.Lots of other warm foods on buffet table, and a very fresh salad bar as well.DESSERT BAR. No buffet we have ever been to had a better dessert bar with desserts made freshly prepared right before your eyes. Want a little extra whip cream on that no problem. Want sliver slice of a Pecan pie or full slice, or a half slice, no problem. Attendant was very friendly and accommodating.Lindsey, our waitress was very friendly, kept the table cleared of plates, and did a very nice job adding to the enjoyment of our dinner.I like Lumpton’s barbecue buffet in Tampa very much. But we both agree that this one is a little better for several reasons. But do go to both as both are very excellent buffets. Less than $20.00 for two with the taxes included makes this a supper bargain. That price also includes a discount if you do not waste food. I really like the fact, that you get a discount for not wasting food. That discount is easy to receive because everything is so darn good.BEST BUFFET EVER. QUALITY INGREDIENTS. EVERYTHING COOKED PERFECTLY.

Yes they are right. It is not for vegetarians but I am sure there are plenty of places for a vegetarian to go to. It is, what they said it was. True southern style cooking with chicken broth, ham broth and beef broth. Without those key ingredients it would not be a souther style of cooking….. it would be vegetarian ; ) You won’t go away hungry and you won’t be sorry you stopped.

Good Food. This was the first time I ever went to Fred’s and didn’t know what to expect. We went for lunch and we were seated right away. I usually eat healthy food and could have had a salad, but decided to do the buffet. I saw the fried chicken and had to eat it. I would say that for buffet food, most of the items were authentic and cooked really good. The chicken was really good and hand-breaded. You could tell that it was hand-breaded. Overall, it was a great experience due to the service and food. I liked it and would go back. I would recommend it!
