Went tonight for takeout, waited while it cooked. They have really spruced up the place since my last visit – outdoor seating, fresh interior, neat tables. Unfortunately the food was not as good as it used to be, and portions were small. I had fried grouper, and that was pretty good. I couldn’t finish the oysters – not good at all. Corn fritters were tasty, Hushpuppies are not that great. Shame.
Don’t make the trip very often to Plant City but when we do we make sure we have the time to stop in and order the Crab cake (rolls) basket! 2 rolls stuffed with crab meat with choice of two sides. That’s all we have ever ordered cause that’s why we stop!! We started over 40 years ago stopping at the Seabreeze and getting a bag of crab rolls and raised our kids living this yummy rolls! Great little place to stop! Don’t be in a hurry….enjoy! Clean and friendly! Cash only don’t forget.
Good SEAFOOD not so great service. My husband and I wanted to try a new place so we went here. It’s a small mom and pop restaurant, nothing fancy but decent. I ordered the shrimp scampi past. They told me it would take 25minutes. I thought good then you know it’s fresh, so it would be with the wait. I get my food and it’s spaghetti noodles with an over abundance of oil. So I took a bite, the pasta was semi-hard and had absolutely no flavor except that of to much oil. I took the shrimp out and put the pasta to the edge of the table. The waitress never came back over to us until we were done, even though she repeatedly walked by our table. Then when I told her that it wasn’t very good it just tasted like noodles and oil, so if she could just charge for a shrimp plate she said it was the same price which was $14.99 and it comes with 10 shrimp. Also that is garlic butter on those noodles and I love shrimp scampi so I know how it should taste and I know what garlic butter taste like and that was not no garlic butter .I told her I only had seven shrimp and she started pointing to my food and leaning over me and plate, asking me to look under the rest of my shrimp then to look under the pasta, as if I was trying to hide it or something. I said ma’am I only got seven shrimp and I only ate one them. So they did make three shrimp plus one. So needless to say, I had to pay $14.99 for 11 pieces of shrimp and I didn’t even get the two sides that I should of gotten because I did pay for a grilled shrimp entree with two sides. I was really disappointed with my trip there. We spent $53 and I got 11 shrimp and a deviled crab, and my husband got a seafood combo that came with two deviled crabs, 5 scallops, a few corn fritters. and an appetizer of calamari. I definitely won’t be go back there to sit down and dine in. The seafood itself was really good, but I didn’t find that it was worth $53. So It was the first and last time there. Really disappointed.
Low quality frozen seafood.
Wow! We found this gem on our way from Orlando to Clearwater. We loved everything we tried–from the crab cakes to the garlic crab plate. Even my 6 year old son was talking about it several days later!
Don’t Miss This One. Tampa Tribune put La Tropicana at the top of their list for deviled crab. Linda’s is about 100X as good.
