What a fantastic treat tucked away in the heart of downtown plant city. I had the red pepper hummus I was fantastic this is not a cookie cutter menu. Fresh specials and treats what a neat place worth the stop for breakfast or lunch! Without the guilt!
Changing Tides. I’ve be a customer of the corner store since it opened in PC. I appreciate what it has brought to the downtown. Today I brought my friend for his first time, we were barely greeted and the product they carried has changed. I saw Vitamin Water and Coca-Cola in the drink fridge and wines everywhere. The sandwiches were still pretty good, just heavy on the spinach, but some people may not consider that bad thing. What disturbed me the most is that someone, I assuming one of the workers inside of the shop had left their dog outside in the heat with filthy water. I still think it is one of the best places to eat in Plant City, but I wasn’t too impressed with this trip at all.
Nice lunch spot with good healthy food. Perfect place to come and read a book/tablet and have lunch.
So today, Hunny & I trekked out from Tampa along US-92 to find some GLEE or another at which to fill our gullets. GLEE, FYI, is Good Local Eating Establishment. We soon found ourselves in downtown Plant City, at _the corner store_ [*note: I left the name un-capped, as the owners’ business card is printed that way]. We found excellent food, engaging staff (owners), & a homespun rustic’ish dcor that accentuated our li’l adventure quite nicely. There’s plenty more good things to say about _the corner store_, but I want to leave some surprises for you to find, as that’s half the fun. C’mon & check it out! Namast, SscoootzZ
By far my favorite plae to eat in Plant City. The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious!! I go there at least once a week.
Friendly staff, healthy delicious food and kid friendly! They didn’t mind me spending the day there studying…highly recommend this place.
Saving us from mediocre. The Corner Store is fantastic. Healthy, locally grown (for the most part depending on seasons), hand-crafted food. It’s how I imagine we should be eating. It can be a shock to those used to processed, cheap, deep-fry everything foodies. Fresh food, fresh flavors, also do a great job having special food nights/events (wine, pizza night, collaborate with the Art Gallery next door).They also have a lot of organic/natural/gluten free shelf foods, items (soaps, etc), coffee/tea, tons of unique spices, beer, wine, etc. Staff is super friendly!It is the bright spot for dining in Plant City and Tampa Bay.
