Disappointing Thanksgiving Meal. On Thanksgiving day, 2014, I took a friend to dinner at Bin 595 as a special treat since he was not able to see his family on that day. I had made a reservation from my home in Virginia approximately a week early so I would be sure to have a pleasant place for us to enjoy dinner. I should not have bothered. We both ordered the turkey dinner (the other choice was ham–nothing else was on the menu). It came with a tiny salad, a few rolls that were insufficient for two hungry people, and the smallest thimble of butter I have ever seen. The dinners were of a size and quality of a Swanson Hungry Man dinner–perhaps a bit smaller. The turkey was dry, and the entire meal was barely warm. When we finished, the dessert arrived–a ridiculously small cobbler that offered no taste and no joy. We finished our meal and went back to my condo where I prepared some food to supplement the meager offerings at Bin 595. We both agreed that the dinner was wholly disappointing and a financial ripoff to boot. We would have been better off staying home and eating one of Mr. Swanson’s meals–at least it would have been hotter, tastier, and cheaper. It is unfortunate that your restaurant and its food did not even begin to come up to the level of expectations anyone would have for a high-end eatery. You need to do a lot better!!!
Worth Another Look. We really enjoyed ourselves. Since last summer this place has a new chef, new manager, and a full renovation. Pretty South Beach chic with food to match.
Unique & Delish!. I went in with a friend just for some light appetizer and dessert, and the food was delish. We shared the Spinach Pita & Daikon Salad (it’s like a flat bread with artichoke/spinach dip topping) and the chocolate molten torte. Both items were absolutely delish!
WHY!?. GREAT LOCATION, NICE HOTEL- PLAGUED THROUGH THE YEARS WITH BLAND, INSIGNIFICANT FOOD! This place is near my office- would love to have a great place to go unwind and grab a tasty bite, but no such luck! I went with my girlfriend had wine and a couple of terrible aps that tasted like they were straight out of a freezer and the bill was $70 before the tip??? We had flat bread sandwich with 0 flavor! We had fried shrimp and calamari that was just fried, grease with mayonaise all over it that they called aoli, no acid at all just heavy fried coating…bleh!!! The upside, the Bartender was a 10 of 10, now they need a chef who can make good food with fresh sauces, flavor and some talent to go along with the price tag and the amazing location!
