Frozen Food at it’s worst. I’ve eaten at Bokampers about half a dozen times, it right by my office in Plantation. I have to say that about 75% of the time the food was just ok, nothing special, no recommendations to speak of. But this last time was just awful! I ordered a turkey burger, buffalo shrimp and sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, all were frozen. They had no taste at all, actually, all i could taste on the shrimp was buffalo sauce. The burger is served on bread as opposed to a hamburger bun. The shrimp were limp and soggy, the fries were soft, the turkey burger was void of any taste – the whole thing was a pathetic excuse for lunch. The day before, I had a turkey burger from the Publix deli up the street on University and Peters and it was awesome! Fresh ground turkey with seasonings you could actually see, thick and juicy, sauteed with spinach, mushrooms, jalapenos and onions – again from Publix and again awesome!! I will NEVER EAT at BOKAMPERS again! don’t waste your money!
Food has gone downhill as they expand. Crab chowder was glue . Fish was old and fishy tasting and burnt on the outside. Sirloin dinner came cold as the mashed potatoes did. That was the first 45 minutes. Waited 25 more minutes. No show ! Asked asked for manager . When she showed she asked us if we wanted to just take it home. And pay for it !This is the second time we’ve been here and food still is acceptable.it seems like the more stores they open the worse the food gets!
Cool place but….. First off, the place looked amazing. Tons of tv’s, great patio, and friendly staff. if you’re looking to have some drinks and watch a game, this is your spot.However, food left something to be desired. We all had burgers and they were all a little over cooked and dry. Not gross, just not the best. Wings looked good but pretty expensive. I’d give it another shot but with lowered expectations.
Friendly Atmosphere. They have a lot of Large HD Color TV’s for watching football and the ladies that work behind the bar are really cute too, the hamburger on the other hand was okay I guess but I have had better. I just stopped by to check out the place and from what I could see it seemed like a great sports bar to hang out with friends and watch Pro Football. I would go again only the next time I plan to try out there chicken wings and have a few beers. I heard that the chicken wings are really good. I would give this sports bar a rating of 4 stars out of 5.
Terrible food. The onion rings were greasy, the pulled pork sandwich was almost inedible. It was dried out and stringy.The wait staff appears to be on another planet.
I’ve had much better food at my middle school cafeteria. The burgers are horrible and have to previously frozen. Why attempt cheap seasoning on what look like good fries. They may be previously frozen as well. Vegie burger was like green baby food on a stale piece of bread. I really could not have eaten it if I wasn’t drunk and hadn’t used a whole bottle of kechup to mask the flavor. The place is busy enough & they have to be making money, why not spend a little more and invest in some decent food?
Worst FOOD i have ever had. I have been to bokamper’s on several occasions, Food is horrible!!!!!!! I complained last two times and GM or managers could care less. Very poor management and food quality, place is only good for beer and in the business drink specials. other then that just another sports bar with crap food which management could care less to fix. GM told me maybe maybe I should go to a nicer restaurant to because Bokamper’s wasnt the place for me! I am a chef with over 15 years experience and this comment blew me away, never had I heard a GM make a comment like this or could care less because I hold food quality at a high standard, which he should do as well.
