I would like to start off by mentioning my husband and I really enjoy trying new cuisines and restaurants. We go out for food at least twice a week. Being a plantation resident, we regularly receive coupons and offers from local restaurants and businesses. We decided to try iSushi Plantation because it was Wednesday and our coupon mentioned 1/2 price all food items, dine in only for Wacky Wednesdays. As we sat down, we ordered a nice glass of wine. To our disappointment, the wines aroma smelled like vinegar and was in fact spoiled. Luckily, the waitress agreed and replaced the wine with a fresh one. After eating a few appetizers and some sushi rolls, we realized our bill was in fact not half off food items. We questioned the waitress, who embarrassingly went to get her manager. The manager returns asking what the problem is with the check. We present the coupon, asking for 12 off the food items we ordered. His response was that coupon is valid until 5pm. It is only to get people to come for lunch and to generate lunch business. It does not apply to dinner. NO WHERE on the coupon did it say it was valid for a certain time. The last time we checked, WednesDAY is a full day and does not end at 5pm. He refused to honor the coupon even though we told him we were plantation residents. He still insisted we pay for the full bill and was arguing with us over a mere $15. OVER PRICED. BAD SERVICE. BAD MANAGEMENT. By the way the food was just OK, so do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for sushi as there are many good choices around. (Kikos, Marumi, Coco’s in Fort Laud) just to name a few. Never coming back here. Awful.
Are you a fan of grocery store sushi? How about frozen yogurt store decor? Then this place is for you. If you’re a fan of authenticity and atmosphere, however, then STAY AWAY. One other table with two people at it, and me by myself. Watched the other table get an additional single roll they ordered AFTER I ordered my food, BEFORE mine showed up. Will not be back.
I went there for lunch yesterday and was really surprised how good the sushi was. I had the sesame salad which was awesome. The vegitable egg rolls are homemade and really good. The prices are very reasonable also. The cafe was small but comfortable. They also deliver with in a 5 mile radious. Definitely check this place out, really good sushi15 Aug, 2013Great sushi low price
