Outstanding lasagna and manicotti. The chicken Parmesan was very good too. I ordered the appetizer mussels and the side order of meatballs. Delicious and moist. You can sit anywhere and the service was excellent. I had no issues like the other folks that reviewed this place.
Horrible I talian Food. I really did not expect much form an old school place like this. The meatballs were frozen the veal was frozen and the lasagna had slices frozen meatball in it not chop meat. I don’t know what they cook there but there microwave must be vey busy!.
Terrible. Food is mediocre. Service is worse. I ordered a half roasted chicken and it was served pink and cold inside. Completely under cooked. When I sent it back, no effort was made to fix the problem and I was ignored by the server and manager. Then, when the bill came, the dinner was taken off the check, but I was charged individually for the side dishes. The way I was charged, the side dishes almost totaled the full price for the dinner. The server mumbled that he was told to charge me that way.Undercooked food, bad service, poor customer service? Never going back.
Times have changed. I used to go with my grandfather to Mario’s when I was a little kid, and I had fond memories of the place, so when my boyfriend and I were looking for a family friendly restaurant that wasn’t a chain to take his five year old son to, Mario’s was my suggestion. The wait staff was very nice, and we were seated right away. I put the kids order in right away, and we ordered about five minutes later. It took them 25 minutes to bring us our soup and salad. The soup was bland, and the peppercorn salad dressing tasted like slightly flavored mayonnaise ( I should have known something was fishy when I asked for creamy Italian dressing and they told me they don’t have that..really at an Italian restaurant?!) . They also brought out the kids meal at this point, although it was a generous portion of spaghetti, the meatball looked greasy and it was pink in the middle. I had the calamari marinara, now I love garlic, but the giant chunks of it in the sauce made it inedible. You would think with all that garlic that the marinara would be flavorful, but it was absolutely bland and my calamari resembled a rubberband in both appearance and texture. Over all I was not impressed.
