Service was a wee bit slow. St Louis ribs were tasty, great smokiness, fantastic sauce! Mashed potatoes and broccoli as sides. Decent price too!…

Second time and still liked it. Went there tonight for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised at our first visit a few months back so we decided to see if it held up on a second visit. We were not disappointed. If you are focused on healthy foods this may not be the best place for you, though there are a few low calorie options. Tonight we tried the tator tini appetizer- its as cheesy as it sounds but darn good. We also tried the rib combo sampler as well. The St. Louis ribs were nicely cooked and pretty good. The beef brisket was so-so, would have preferred a bit more seasoning. The pulled pork was also good. All of the sides we tried were tasty. Drinks are reasonably priced as is food. Portions are filling. We will go back.
Damn good BBQ.. Randomly went in yesterday after a long afternoon at the Dolphins Training Camp, since it was down the road. I had heard tons of good things about this place, and luckily my group and I were craving BBQ. I want to start off by saying I had the most terrific service from our server, Jenny Blue. She was attentive, upbeat, and loads of fun! Our food and drinks came out speedy. We shared the fried pickles, and ordered Sangria’s (hands-down the best we’ve had; both items). We all ordered different dishes, which everyone enjoyed. I had the pulled pork. Mixed with their sweet BBQ sauce, it was out of this world. The prices are completely fair, given the amount of food that is served. I can’t wait to go back. I’ll definitely be asking for Jenny Blue again, also.
I drive an hour to eat here. Yes, you heard right… when I want it, I drive from Homestead just to eat SB because they haven’t put one down my way yet.I only do it a few times a year, but it isn’t often someone will drive an hour each way just for a good dinner.Ribs, Pulled pork, you name it… and the donuts are awesome, but eat them while they are fresh or you’ll think I lied.
Tasty and Clean. Liked the food but we came later in the evening (10pm) and some of our food seemed a little dry and the onion rings were petrified. Server was attending to friends … or at least they seemed like friends (either that or he was crossing client-server boundries BIGTIME) so while the service wasn’t bad, he clearly had his focus on other things… and really, I don’t need to hear about how little sleep you get and what you were celebrating the night before. I have already sent 4 other families to eat here and I will certainly go back when I am back in Plantation
Horrible Service, Less than Spectacular Food. I have been here 3 times, and I will not be going back. I used to eat at the Smokey Bones in Orlando all the time, and was excited when one opened in Plantation.Every time I go, the staff seems clueless. There is no hustle, they mess up simple tasks, and every one seemed more interested in checking their cell phones than refilling drinks. The food- the last appetizer I had were kinda like home-made potato chips with 3 dipping sauces… I ended up with a mouth of salty potatoes and a dipping sauce that had no flavor at all. My main course of a BBQ sandwich came on a bland bun that tasted like it came from the grocery store, and BBQ that really tasted like it came from a tub in the freezer section at Costco. My last visit took over an hour and a half for a simple lunch, because the wait staff was too busy playing around with each other, and i wasn’t the only one to notice.Overall, I would rather go to Sonny’s or Scruby’s. Not as fancy, but at least i will get out from a meal before im qualified for AARP.
My go-to place. This is absolutely my favorite place to drop in. You don’t go for the salads, but the steak salad is terrific as is the chicken and walnut one. Mostly, I love those smoky bones that have that lucious rib meat around them. I normally choose the sweet sauce, but have been experimenting with the mustard-based one or the dry-rub, too. The staff are always attentive, and on the rare occasion that something is not exactly right, they have made it a mission to fix it or make it right with me. Oh, and don’t wear white unless you’re ready with a bleach pen. It’s a (fun) mess!
Horrible service!! Undercooked food!!
