Arrived 3:30 and were seated, the smell was musky and smelled like a dirty mop. So dissatisfied we left and advised manager on the way out. He thought it was a carpet and offered us a table where it’s tiled. Same horrible odor. How can they not smell it everywhere? Sad.
I used to go to TooJay’s often. Today I stopped there for a simple grilled cheese with bacon on rye and small potato pancakes. There was no wait it was just before noon. The service was fine. The waitress was very attentive and freindly. I was disappointed in the food. it was cold, for some reason bitter and tasted stale. I’d never experienced this before. I don’t plan on returning.
